How to destroy a clutch

Almost every new car is equipped with an automatic transmission, but still manual transmissions will not become a thing of the past. They just give a special feel so the drivers adore them. However, those who know how to change gears properly and not destroy the clutch are rare.

If you’ve ever wondered how to blow a clutch, well recently a video appeared on TikTok showing a red Porsche 911 GT3 whose driver is struggling with changing gears. The sound that can be heard will hurt the hearts of Porsche enthusiasts. The clutch is heard to go through difficult moments as the driver struggles with the transmission and pushes the torque into red. The author of the video assumes that the driver is the owner and that he was under the influence of alcohol after leaving the restaurant.

The Porsche 911 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with an impressive 510hp (375 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470Nm) of torque at 9,000 rpm. It reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph (318 kph). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via manual six-speed transmission. It is equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, and 20-inch wheels on the front and 21-inch wheels on the rear with Michelin PS Cup 2 tires.

KIA business results in April 2022

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) released data on the business results of the South Korean company KIA in April, reaching a market share of 5.7 percent. The results include the EU, EFTA and UK markets.

Published results show that KIA achieved the same record result as at the beginning of the year, and is currently in fifth place when it comes to sales. In April, for the first time, 47,725 Kia vehicles were registered, which is 12.5% more than in the same period last year. This is primarily the result of an overall reduction in the vehicle market (20.2%).

“Last month, the European car market saw a drop in sales, while Kia’s sales grew both in terms of volume and market share. The latest data show that Kia is the fastest growing brand in the EU this year. Today’s customers have a really wide choice, but Kia owners recognize the role of our exceptional offer in enabling a more sustainable future. In April, more than a third of our total sales were electrified models. As our electrified offer expands, and we continue to expand our offer in the area of sharing mobility, Kia will truly create an ‘inspiring movement,’ “said Kia Europe President Jason Jeong.

When it comes to models, the highest demand was for the Sportage (8,368 vehicles sold), the Ceed (7,995 vehicles – including the Ceed, XCeed, Ceed Sportswagon and ProCeed) and the electric Niro (6,735 vehicles). The plan is to offer 14 electric cars by 2027, and to become a fully electric brand by 2035.

Milk delivery truck with 815 HP

In the past, a milk delivery truck could be seen on a daily basis, but it has long been out of use because people now buy and store milk in refrigerators. Many of these trucks, which were moving on American streets, were produced by the company Divco, and one of them got a second chance.

Nick and his father decided to convert the milk delivery truck into an acceleration racing vehicle. This is not their first project, considering that they have done five of them so far, and we can say that this one is impressive. The exterior of the truck has been retained, the bodywork is the same, but the chassis was taken over from a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck and redesigned.

The interior has changed significantly. Seats from the Dodge Caravan have been installed, and a new sound system with a subwoofer has been installed. The truck also got navigation. Nick has more plans for the truck, and it certainly won’t be slower.

When it comes to the powertrain, the old 107 hp (79 kW) engine has been removed. Now the truck is powered by a naturally-aspirated V8 Chevy Big Block engine with an impressive 815 hp (599 kW). This power allows the vehicle to reach a speed of 114 mph (183 km / h).

We are sure that there are more examples like this, and also that this will not be the last.
