MG Maze

London-based design studio SAIC Design has unveiled the concept of a compact city electric car made for gamers. It is a partner of MG Motor, which with MG Maze wants to make electric cars fun to drive.

At first glance, it can be concluded that the car is intended for a new generation of drivers. This concept is currently only in digital form, with which SAIC Desing wanted to turn the gaming scenario into a car form. The layout, details, color material are all driven by this idea to help connect and build a community around a mobility activity.

Raising the glass dome is a way to get into the car. Inside, there are two seats, a controller like the one for video games and a screen, which makes the Maze look more like a personal gaming setup than a conventional car.

The size of the car suggests its handling and agility in the city, and the glass dome needs significantly less space when opened than standard side doors.

MG Maze is currently only in the form of a design, so there are no details about the platform. It is designed with more electric motors and a replaceable battery, but there are no details about the potential performance yet.

Porsche Ares 992 Targa

The Italian company Ares Design has done one of the best restoration and modification projects. This is another masterpiece of this company, Ares 992 Targa, based on the 2018 Porsche 991 GT3 Targa.

The car is elegant, with a lot of style and is characterized by everything that can be expected from Ares. Like the Ares 964 Turbo introduced earlier this year, the Ares 992 Targa is a unique project. The car is equipped with a new carbon aerodynamic body kit designed by Centro Style, which is tastefully integrated into the body.

The car is slightly wider, 3.14 inches (8 cm) at the front and 1.57 inches (4 cm) at the rear, compared to the 991 GT3 Targa. The interior is completely upholstered in the highest quality leather, as well as the basic model, and new decorations have been added to increase the overall impression.

The upgraded Ares 992 Targa is powered by the same Boxer 6 engine as the 991 GT3 Targa but with 60 hp more. The car also has a new exhaust system.

The owner of this unique model is not known, nor how much the upgrade will cost.

Istanbul taxi drivers will be under video surveillance

Maybe as a tourist you were in a situation where a taxi driver charged you more than he should have. Due to such situations, Istanbul taxi drivers will from now on be under video surveillance.

The work of taxi drivers will be monitored from the traffic center, from which other public transport vehicles are also monitored. Of the 17,000 taxis, 15,000 will be under video surveillance. The cameras will be installed in cars and on cars.

The cameras will monitor the work of taxi drivers throughout their working hours, and the recordings will be used when checking complaints about the driver’s behavior. The GPS system will track the movement of cars, how many are available and how fast they are moving.

Increasingly frequent complaints are related to the fact that drivers charge tourists significantly more, give preference to foreigners where they can earn more than to locals, and because they do not want to drive on shorter distances.

The police and the inspection reacted and on that occasion sanctioned those who violated the regulations. Some of them had their cars confiscated, but despite that, the problems have not been solved.

There are 50,000 taxi drivers in Istanbul. According to the Daily Sabah, a taxi is the most acceptable means of transport for those who do not know the city or do not want to use public transport used by a large number of people.
