Maserati GranCabrio MC

The GranCabrio MC is the natural evolution of the high performance GranCabrio. With a soft top simulating the design of a streamlined coupe, Maserati technicians introduced a series of changes for the GranCabrio aimed at enhancing the cars aerodynamic efficiency.

The front is dominated by the traditional oval grille featuring black vertical slats and a Trident with red trims in the center. The spoiler and front air intakes give the front an even more muscular look, and together with slots on the front wings and the side skirts, combine to extract hot air from the braking system and deliver downforce to the entire car, without increasing drag.

The rear is equally exciting, proposing a higher, more centrally positioned exhaust, with the lower edge of the bumper guaranteeing enhanced extraction of airflow from the undercarriage. The spoiler incorporates the third stop light and is designed to produce downforce at high speeds.

The new headlights come in a spacious matte black, while the rear lights, with LED lamps, have an exclusive finish. The dynamic look of the GranCabrio MC is enhanced by 20-inch MC Design wheels, offered in Titanio lucido or Grafite opaco finishes.

The new sports front seats with integral headrests are a combination of aesthetics and functionality which ensure comfortable seating and good posture support even at high speeds. The seats come standard in perforated Alcantara leather, and a full-leather version is available. Completing the racy look of the interior, parts of the panels are upholstered an Alcantara, clearly drawing on the trim level of racing cars, including the instrument binnacle, the central armrest, the door panel armrests/handles, the middle of the dashboard and the central tunnel.

Maserati GranCabrio has a 4.7-litre V8 engine that delivers 460 hp and 520 Nm of torque. Accelerates from 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 179 mph.

Mercedes AMG GT

The strong and muscular body of the Mercedes AMG GT leaves you breathless at first glance. The combination of knowledge and experience makes the Mercedes AMG GT more than an exhibition car.

The lightweight AMG body, made of aluminum, is adorned with an AMG grille with a vertical bar at the front and high-performance LED headlights and taillights.

Inside, premium AMG Performance, heated and ventilated, leather seats with memory and adjustable bolsters provide a sporty feel. There’s also a digital reconfigurable 12.3 ”instrument panel and a 10.25” central multimedia display. Touch controls on the steering wheel and console indicate selected modes with clear color graphics. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard. There is also Burmester® or Burmester High-End 3D surround sound systems.

Common to the three coupes and three roadsters from the AMG GT family is a hand-crafted 4.0-liter dry-sump biturbo V8 engine ranging from a powerful 469 hp to a monumental 577 hp. Each engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The car comes with 19 inch front wheels and 19/20 inch rear wheels.

Hyundai suspends production of diesel engines

Due to increasingly strict restrictions related to gas emissions, the automotive industry is turning to electrification, which will have the greatest impact on diesel engines. Those restrictions forced Hyundai to make a decision to suspend diesel engine production.

Following the Dieselgate affair, in which Volkswagen was in the spotlight, the cessation of diesel engine production was accelerated. Data show that hybrids and electric cars are more popular than diesel. Thus, the South Korean company Hyundai has suspended the production of diesel engines, but will continue to improve the diesel engines produced so far.

Hyundai plans to produce hybrids and plug-in hybrids in the coming years, leaving room for the survival of gasoline engines that engineers manage to make more efficient to meet new regulations.

From 2025, the Euro 7 standard begins to be applied, leading to the inevitable era of electric cars as well as large investments in new platforms.

Hyundai has announced that it will have 23 fully electric models by 2025, which was announced with the Ioniq 5 model.
