Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition

The Aston Martin Bowmore Edition is a limited edition version of the DBX SUV, created in partnership with Bowmore Distillery. The exclusive DBX pays homage to Bowmore Scotch whiskey, and production will be limited to just 18 examples.

Inside, the DBX has undergone a series of aesthetic changes inspired by the distillery. The dashboard and center console contain details with copper foil, while the cupholders and unique sill plates made from recycled copper.

Upholstery options, Obsidian and a combination of Coper Tan and Obsidian are also available. Each car comes with an array of edition-specific accessories, including a tweed picnic basket and a leather holdall bag.

Cosmetic changes over the standard DBX include optional black brake calipers, smoked alloy wheels and new copper-coloured inlays for the SUV’s side strakes. The SUV’s bodywork is painted in a unique color named Bowmore Blue, though buyers can alternatively order Xenon Grey.

“The Aston Martin and Bowmore brands share the same vision of creating timeless beauty and a lasting legacy, loyal to their heritage but also embracing new methods and this is reflected in the DBX Bowmore edition,” said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer.

Like the standard DBX, the Bowmore Edition is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 542 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque (700 Nm). The Bowmore Edition accelerates from 0 – 62 mph in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 181 mph. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and power is transmitted to all four wheels.

Each car will cost £ 219,950. The first deliveries are expected at the end of next year.

Audi Q3 45 TFSI e and Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI e

Audi has introduced its first plug-in hybrid compact SUV in the form of the new Q3 45 TFSI e and Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI e. Electrified SUVs will be available from spring 2021.

Both models will be powered by a combination of a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol four-cylinder with an 85kW/330Nm electric motor that combine delivers 245 hp with 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Q3 accelerates from 0-62 mph in 7.3 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph. The Q3 has a 6-speed automatic transmission. NEDC estimates the combined fuel consumption for both models at 1.4 to 1.7 liters (138 to 168 US mpg) per 100 kilometers. With only electric drive, the compact SUV can cover 50 km.

In “Auto-Hybrid” mode, the main operating mode, the electric motor supports the four-cylinder engine in many situations, when accelerating and passing. Drivers can prioritize electric drive with the EV button. Drive control system by estimating a number of data points, such as route information from the navigation system and the data about the near surroundings from the vehicle sensors. This allows it to identify when the car is approaching a town sign, a speed limit or getting too close to the vehicle ahead.

Switching the Q3 45 TFSI e hybrids to ‘Dynamic’ mode, flicking the dual-clutch gearbox into S and flooring the accelerator enables a 10-second ‘overboost’ mode, unlocking the electric motor’s full 330Nm torque output.

Additional Battery Hold and Battery Charge modes are used to store or charge the battery, while Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Individual modes allow the driver to adjust the response of engine and transmission.

Available active safety technologies include adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, lane-departure warning and autonomous emergency braking.

There will be four equipment packages on offer, including Technik, S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung. The coupe-inspired Q3 Sportback is available with all packages except the Technik.

The base prices in Germany are EUR 46,000 for Q3 45 TFSI e and EUR 47,400 for Sportback .

Acura MDX

For 2020, Acura introduces a new SUV. The Acura MDX has been engineered to carry up to seven passengers. The focus is on connecting the driver and road, which crowned the Acura MDX the best-selling three-row luxury SUV of all time.

The wide stance speaks about its athletic abilities. The exterior features an Acura Diamond Pentagon grille with Jewel Eye® LED lights. Massive 20-inch five-spoke Shark Gray alloy wheels give the MDX tremendous look. Exclusive gloss-black window trim, a rear gloss-black diffuser, dual exhaust outlets, proudly end with a prominent A-Spec badge.

The interior is confident and innovative to inspire the driver. The seats are available in bold red leather. Available leather-trimmed seats with premium contrast stitching and piping offer a more refined and sporty look. Front seats come standard with 12-way power controls for more precise positioning of the driver and passenger. The MDX offers cargo capacity, up to 90.9 cubic feet, with the flexibility of 60/40-split second-row bench or available folding captain’s chairs and 50/50-split third-row seats.

AcuraLink® allows you to connect to your vehicle from almost anywhere. You can preload your MDX with directions, easily locate it in a crowded parking lot, or even lock/unlock it remotely. The MDX display can connect right to your phone, hosting your favorite apps and services.

The MDX has a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) is available, which manages and optimizes power at each wheel.The MDX Sport Hybrid raises the output to a combined 321 horsepower and connects all that power through an incredibly responsive 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission to its very own Sport Hybrid SH-AWD®.
