Recently, Jaguar Land Rover announced that it will offer customers six electric SUVs for the next five years. One of them is the Defender with 518 hp.
The most powerful Defender, whose cabin is covered with dark leather and Alcantara, comes in combination with a longer and shorter body. The new Defender features Xenon blue brake calipers, quad exhaust pipes and 22-inch wheels.
For better power control, the Defender is equipped with wider anti-roll bars as well as a newly developed electronically active rear differential.
Its powerful 5.0-liter V8 engine with 518 hp and 461 lb-ft of torque allows the Defender to reach 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 149 mph. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
JLR offers an upgrade to the Carpathian Edition. These include Carpathian Gray body and skid pans, tailgate, hood and Narvik Black covers on the roof.
The smaller XS model comes with a mild-hybrid 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine. The XS features 20-inch wheels in Satin Gray. Inside are Ebony Grained leather and Robust Woven Textile trim as well as adjustable, heated and cooled front seats.
