Jaguar F-Pace hybrid now has longer range

Seven years ago, the British car company Jaguar, which is part of the Indian Tata Group, premiered its SUV F-Pace. After the redesign that was done two years ago in Coventry, they decided to refresh this model again.

The biggest change compared to the previous model is the larger capacity of the li-ion batteries (19.2 kWh) that power the electric motor in the hybrid “plug-in” version of the P400e. Now, without the assistance of the 2.0L four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, it has a range of 65 kilometers (WLTP), which is 20 percent more than the previous version. Thanks to the 35 kW DC charger, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 30 minutes. A full charge via the 7 kW charger takes 2.5 hours.

Jaguar F-Pace is offered in three versions. The base F-Pace (P250) is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged i4 with 246 hp (181 kW) and 269 lb-ft (365 Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 135 mph (217 km/h).

A slightly more powerful version, the P400 is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged i6 with 395 hp (290 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

The most powerful F-Pace (P550) is powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 engine with 542 hp (399 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 178 mph (286 km/h).

All versions are equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, a digital instrument panel and a Pivi Pro multimedia system with voice control that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications.

Jaguar has already announced that from 2025, only electric cars will be on offer. This means that only the I-Pace model will remain from their current offer.

Opel Mokka Electric with a range of 406 km

In order to attract a larger number of new potential customers and retain existing ones, Stellantis‘ first move is to increase the range of existing and new cars. One of them is the 2023 Opel Mokka Electric with a range of 406 km.

The Mokka Electric is powered by a more powerful front-mounted electric motor with 154 hp (115 kW) and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque. That should propel the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 10 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 93 mph (150 km/h).

The Peugeot E-308 was presented in September, while the Astra Electric arrived in November, and both models have a 54 kWh battery. With a usable capacity of 51 kWh, the Mokka Electric now has a 20 percent longer range. Using a 100kW DC fast charger, the battery is charged to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. Also, energy consumption was reduced to 15.2 kWh per 100 kilometers traveled.

It should also be noted that Opel recorded an increase in demand for its cars, especially the Mokka, which was the best-selling electric car in its category in Germany in the past two months.
