2026 Toyota Aygo X

On June 2, Toyota revealed a facelift edition of its Aygo X crossover city car, which was launched three years ago. The compact car is expected to hit European roads by the end of this year.

The facelift edition features a new front grille, narrower headlights, a modified hood, a new GR Sport trim, new alloy wheel designs and disc brakes on the rear wheels. The interior has been modernised with a compact digital display replacing the traditional analogue instruments, and USB-C ports have been added below the climate control unit. The steering wheel now features improved safety controls, and the driver attention monitoring system, which is mandatory in the European Union, has an infrared sensor located on the steering column.

The biggest change is under the hood. The new Aygo X now comes only with a hybrid drive. It is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor for a total output of 116 hp, mated to an automatic gearbox. That’s enough power to push the car to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds, which is significantly faster than its predecessor, which with a 1.0-liter engine and 72 hp reached 100 km/h in 14.9 seconds.

Toyota will produce a GR Sport version with a modified chassis, more aggressive design, sharper steering, and 116 hp.

The price of the car has not yet been announced, but it is expected that the hybrid powertrain could have a big impact on it.

2010 Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale is for sale

Celebrating the company’s 100th birthday, in 2010 Alfa Romeo produced nine examples of the special edition TZ3 Stradale. It is a road version of the racing TZ3, and one of them is for sale.

The car was designed by Norihiko Harada of Zagato. It is powered by an 8.4-L Viper V10 engine whose power is reduced to 600 hp (450 kW) at 6,100 rpm and 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque at 5,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed Tremec TR6060 manual transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just over 3 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph.

The TZ3 is based on the Dodge Viper ACR-X chassis and adapted for road use. It is extremely light as it weighs only 850 kilograms thanks to the carbon frame and aluminum body panels.

The car is finished in Dark Blue Metallic and is in truly exceptional condition. It has been meticulously maintained and has spent most of its time in an esteemed Arizona-based collection. The odometer shows just 1,863 miles.

This TZ3 Stradale is being sold by Young Motor Cars and the asking price is $675,000.

Ford Super Mustang Mach-E

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb takes place on Sunday, June 22, and Ford has prepared its car for its return to one of the toughest races. It is the Ford Super Mustang Mach-E, which will be driven by famous driver Romain Dumas.

The Super Mustang Mach-E has undergone certain changes to adapt to the conditions of the extremely difficult track. The roofline has been redesigned, and combined with the openings behind the front wheel arches, it contributes to downforce of almost 2.8 tons. Negative camber has been made, the body has been strengthened, new splitters and a large rear wing have been added, which increases the car’s handling for this type of track.

When it comes to the powertrain, Ford has not yet announced anything. However, many believe that the company could opt for three electric motors with 1,600 hp, which was the case with the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck model that was used previously.
