The RS Q8 is the largest SUV in Audi’s fleet and is now the basis for a new Mansory project. The German tuning company has made it better and more powerful.
This car is a true beast in the world of SUVs, and it showed it on one of the most famous tracks, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, where it set the fastest lap time in the production SUV category. Last year, a refreshed version was presented, powered by a 4.0-L V8 biturbo engine with 640 hp and 850 Nm of torque, which is enough to push the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 306 km/h.
The Mansory version has a black body and a yellow leather-covered interior. The leather can also be seen on the body details, rims and huge brake calipers. At Mansory, the most attention was paid to increasing power. Under the bonnet is still a 4.0-L V8 biturbo engine, but with 1,000 hp and 1,250 Nm of torque. While Mansory hasn’t revealed performance data, what we do know is that the car gets a modified ECU, new turbochargers, new water-cooled intercoolers, more open air filters, new tailpipes and a new exhaust system.
Last month, Mercedes presented its most powerful station wagon in the fleet, the E53 Hybrid, and Brabus has already prepared a customization program (B53 700) that makes this car more powerful and exclusive.
The Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid arrived as a replacement for the E63 model, with the same power but lower fuel consumption. It is powered by a 3.0-L inline 6-cylinder biturbo engine (449 hp and 560 Nm of torque) combined with an electric motor for a total power of 612 hp and 750 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
However, to take the car’s performance to the next level, Brabus has installed a new front spoiler to minimize front axle lift and increase driving stability at high speeds, additions to the front daytime running lights, four rounded black titanium/carbon tailpipes with a diameter of 90 millimeters at the rear, accents on the fender sides, and a rear spoiler for additional downforce at high speeds. All exterior components are made of high-quality PUR plastic. There are also height-adjustable sports springs that allow the vehicle to be lowered by between 15 and 30 millimeters, which makes the handling even more dynamic.
The interior can be produced in different variants according to the individual wishes of the vehicle owner. Options include stainless steel door sills in two different versions: one with a white illuminated BRABUS logo, the other in a variant in which the BRABUS lettering is illuminated in 64 different colors analogous to the standard ambient lighting, countless colors and various quilting patterns created with maximum precision, carbon or aluminum pedal pads, high-quality BRABUS velor covers with black nubuck edges and silver piping and stitching in the footwell and trunk.
When it comes to the powertrain, the car is still powered by the same hybrid system but with 700 hp and 850 Nm of torque, which is enough to accelerate the approximately 2.3-ton sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h. The increase in power is achieved thanks to an additional control unit adapted to the electronic engine.
This customization program is compatible with the sedan and wagon. For the sedan, Brabus has prepared Monoblock Z wheels measuring 9Jx21 at the front and 10.5Jx21 at the rear, while the wagon is fitted with Monoblock M ‘PLATINUM EDITION’ wheels in the same dimensions. The high-performance tires in the dimensions 265/35 ZR 21 and 305/30 ZR 21 are supplied by BRABUS tire technology partners Continental and Hankook.
Celebrating the 2003 DTM championship victory, Mercedes produced 180 units of the CLK DTM touring car, of which 100 were coupes and 80 were convertibles. It is based on the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class (C208), and one example, the 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM Convertible is up for auction.
This CLK DTM is one of 80 cars, and is finished in Obsidian Black over a Black Alcantara. It is in really good condition with only 21,931 km on the odometer. It is equipped with carbon fiber body panels, rear aerofoil, larger AMG ceramic brakes, unique 19-inch front and 20-inch rear double six-spoke multi-piece AMG wheels.
The interior is sporty with AMG sports bucket seats covered in leather, the steering wheel is wrapped in antimony, while four-point seat belts complete the authentic motorsport feel. There is also a row of switches for traction control, stability control, and transmission settings, to enable the car to quickly realize its full potential.
Under the bonnet is a 5.4-L supercharged V8 engine with 582 hp and 800 Nm of torque, which is enough for acceleration to 100 km/h in four seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h.
The auction will take place on May 25, 2025, and the estimated value of the car is €420,000 – €550,000. The car comes with two keys, owner’s manual, and a service book.
