The Beast is an extreme version of the Lamborghini Diablo

The Beast is an extreme creation of the Japanese company Value Progress, based on the Lamborghini Diablo. The car was presented at the Osaka Auto Messe and the company has not announced when The Beast will go on sale.

The car is painted in Italian red with Dark gray and purple details. It is 5,030 mm long, 2,400 mm wide, and 1,260 mm high, which means that it is 570 mm longer and 360 mm wider than the standard Diablo. Its appearance is enhanced by an elongated front end, a hood with ventilation openings and a pronounced splitter. The rear end brings an extended rear fender, a massive rear wing connected to the roof by a central fin. The use of a large number of wings and ventilation openings in the design is inspired by the Japanese bosozoku automotive culture.

In addition to vertically stacked headlights and high-positioned fog lights, The Beast has eight taillights and four high-mounted exhaust pipes. The car also gets a premium suspension and an upgraded braking system.

As for the powertrain, The Beast is powered by a 5.7-L V12 engine mated to a manual transmission. The same engine powers the Lamborghini Diablo, however, the company has not revealed the engine’s performance, but depending on the version, this engine develops between 485 and 603 hp.

Range Rover upgraded by Overfinch

British company Overfinch, which customizes Land Rover and Range Rover cars, has unveiled its latest work, the Helix, based on the Range Rover Defender.

Overfinch has fitted the car with a new body kit that includes flared wheel arches, a massive carbon fiber hood dome, a new front bumper with redesigned intakes and carbon details. There are also carbon sills, a new rear bumper, a diffuser, a spoiler, and a light bar with the company logo. Special attention is drawn to a set of forged 24-inch wheels, made from a single piece of aluminum, which is perhaps the most complex design ever seen, with a swirl design.

The Range Rover‘s interior is truly top-notch, but Overfinch decided to freshen it up with Arancia leather covering the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, center console and door panels, as well as a lot of carbon details.

There have been changes under the bonnet as well. The Range Rover is powered by a 4.4-L twin-turbo V8 engine which, thanks to a new exhaust system with variable valves, now delivers 621 hp and 890 Nm of torque. That’s significantly more than the 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque in the standard Range Rover.

Speaking of price, this carbon body kit costs £104,589.

1977 Ferrari 512 BB ‘Wide Body’ is up for auction

Between 1973 and 1984, Ferrari produced the Berlinetta Boxer (BB) series of sports cars. The first BB model, the 365 GT4 BB, was a replacement for the Ferrari Daytona, and was also the first in a series of road-going Ferraris equipped with a mid-mounted flat-twelve engine. In 1976 Ferrari revealed the second model from this series, the 512 BB, and by 1981 only 929 units were produced. Now one of them, a 1977 Ferrari 512 BB ‘Wide Body’ is up for sale.

This car is finished in Rosso Chiaro with Nero leather upholstery and Red carpets, and is in almost factory condition with less than 6,000 miles on the odometer. When the car was purchased in 1977, the first and only owner sent it to Maranello where it was upgraded with wider wheel arches to house 9J front and 11J rear alloys instead of the original 7.5J and 9J, the area between the B and C pillars was reshaped and adorned with deeper NACA ducts. The engine cover was removed and modified with a Competizione-style wing, the side lights were moved inside the front grille, triple air vents were added to both rear wings, while the carburetors were supplemented with a special, twin-pipe sports exhaust.

The 512 BB is powered by a 4.9 L F102 B flat-12 engine with 340 hp (250 kW) and 331 lb-ft (449 Nm) of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 262 km/h (163 mph). The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

The car comes with a ‘suitcase’ tool case and history file and is estimated at £150,000 – £170,000. The auction will be held on 9 April 2025.
