Manhart MH7 400d based on the BMW 7 Series

Powerful diesel engines are considered the best for long journeys, so they still attract the attention of tuners. Following the recently unveiled MH8 800, German tuner Manhart has introduced the luxury diesel sedan MH7 400d.

The car is based on the BMW 7 Series and is powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 405 hp (298 kW) and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque. Compared to the standard model with 320 hp (235 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque, a significant increase in power has been achieved thanks to improved turbochargers and a remapped ECU. The engine is paired with an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, nothing has changed. The factory design has been retained with the addition of the Manhart logo which can be seen in several places like on the steering wheel.

The exterior is adorned with a standard Manhart blue body design with gold stripes on both sides of the car as well as the entire length of the body. The original exhaust system has been retained, the air suspension has been lowered by an additional 20-30 mm, and a carbon spoiler lip has been added both on the front apron and the trunk lid. The car is mounted on 22-inch wheels with a gold line around the edges, wrapped in 265 / 30R22 (front) and 295 / 25R22 (rear) tires.

Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 9-speed lightweight cast magnesium bodied automatic gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in an impressive 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph (310 km / h).

“With this remarkable new model, we have really unlocked the performance potential within DBX to create a world-class top-performing SUV that is winning in the world,” said Ralph Illenberger.

The new DBX 707 has a cast aluminum monocoque body shell with aluminum and composite body panels. 2023 Alpina B8

If we talk about upgrading BMW models, Alpina is one of the undisputed tuners. Just seven days after the unveiling of the refreshed 8 Series, Alpina unveiled its upgraded version of the Gran Coupé 8 Series, the Alpina B8.
