Manhart Supra GR 550 with 550 HP

MANHART Supra GR 550 is a new project of the German tuner, which is considered one of the best in the world when it comes to German cars, but here and there they also upgrade cars of other brands. This time it’s the Toyota GR Supra.

The car is built on the same platform as the BMW Z4, and it is not the first time that Manhart has upgraded the Supra GR model, as we saw a similar project in 2020. However, this time the car is equipped with a carbon bodykit that makes the Supra GR look like the long-speculated high-performance GRMN flagship. These include a new rear wing, new diffuser, front splitter and side skirts with integrated fins. Buyers can also choose optional carbon side mirror housings and taillight covers, as well as a set of black and red decals. The body kit costs 13,500 euros, but the components can be purchased separately.

The biggest change is under the hood where the now turbocharged 3.0-L twin-power turbo engine (B58) delivers 550 hp (404 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. They achieved this by installing a new turbocharger, ARMAspeed carbon intake, radiator, MHtronic module and a stainless steel exhaust system from F1 Exhaust, which comes with an optional downpipe. The body can be lowered thanks to a set of H&R springs or Variant 3 coilover suspension by KW, which further improves handling.

The car is mounted on a set of 20″ Concave One rims wrapped in 255/30 and 295/25 tires, in combination with H&R wheel spacers.

2025 BYD Seal 06 GT

After introducing a refreshed edition of its mid-size sedan, the BYD Seal, two weeks ago, China’s largest electric car maker will launch a new hatchback, the Seal 06 GT, on August 30.

The Seal 06 GT is part of the BYD Ocean M Concept, which was unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show in April this year. It is 4,630 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, which positions it between the Dolphin and Seal sedan models. The car has retained the design language of the concept, with larger sports intakes on the front and rear bumpers, a simpler design of LED front and rear lights and side mirrors.

The interior is similar to that of the Seal sedan, but with a slightly different dashboard design. There’s a new steering wheel while the digital cockpit and center console are taken from the BYD Seal sedan.

The car is built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform, and customers will be able to choose between options with a single electric motor (218 hp/160 kW) and rear-wheel drive, and two electric motors (422 hp/310 kW) and four-wheel drive.

57 Rivian cars destroyed in fire

After Rivian vans caught fire in Houston in July, another disaster hit this American company. In the parking lot of Rivian’s plant in Illinois, more than 50 cars were destroyed in the fire.

According to the report, the cause of the fire is currently unknown. However, footage posted on social media showed huge flames rising into the air, as well as thick black smoke. Firefighters were called around 21:45, and after their arrival, the fire was quickly extinguished, but they were unable to save 57 new Rivian R1T and R1S cars. Fortunately, that was the only damage because the fire did not spread to the factory, and no one was hurt, confirmed Kelli Felker, spokesperson for the Rivian company.

In March of this year, the American electric vehicle manufacturer and automotive technology and outdoor recreation company, Rivian, revealed two new cars, the R2 and R3. It is about fully electric cars that should reach the market in 2026.

Like all Rivian cars, both the R3 and R2 have a well-known design. However, this time the company opted for plastic protective elements, handles that slide into the door and various black decorative details. Also, the wheelbase (2,800 mm) of the R3 model is shorter than that of the Rivian R2.

Inside are a digital instrument panel, a large central display, and comfortable seats. It should be noted that this model comes with a panoramic roof.

When it comes to technical specifications, the R3 will be offered with one, two or even three electric motors, two battery options and will have a range of almost 500 kilometers.
