The first fully electric Aston Martin is coming in 2026

Like other car manufacturers, Aston Martin has decided to start producing EVs. In 2026, the first fully electric Aston Martin should arrive on the market.

According to Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers, the company is currently working on improving existing sports models. After the investment pays off, which will take years, the company will switch to electric models. The honor of becoming the first fully electric Aston Martin should go to the successor to the DB11 model.

The company expects that by 2030, half of the Aston Martin models will be electrified. Tobias Moers said that as long as there is interest in cars with internal combustion engines, the company will not give up the offer. Therefore, models with hybrid motors will also be offered, for markets with a reduced number of charging power stations.

For next year, Aston Martin planned to introduce the DBX hybrid model. It will use a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, and will have all-wheel drive. The engine will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. For 2023, plug-in hybrids with a Mercedes-AMG V8 engine will also be offered.

Like Bugatti and Bentley, Aston Martin intends to enter the world of electric vehicle manufacturers.

Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato

In 2019, the Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato was introduced as an improved Superlegger. Today, Aston Martin has decided to produce only 19 copies of the DBS GT Zagato.

It is a unique car made in Satin Gray that will be sold together with the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation model. The price of both models is around $ 7.8 million.

The car is made of carbon fiber (108 parts), while some unique parts are made with a 3D printer. It is powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 760 hp (567 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque.

The exterior of the DBS GT Zagato features a new Zagato front grille, which opens by starting the engine, and a stylized roof along the entire car. It will be the only model without the Gold trim package, but with forged carbon fiber badges.

One such model was delivered to the owner in the USA.

Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro

It’s very busy these days in Aston Martin. After presenting the Vantage Roadster a few days ago, this time the new Valkyrie AMR Pro is coming.

Originally presented as a concept, Valkyrie has undergone a number of changes and improvements. The overall weight of the vehicle has been reduced by removing the hybrid parts, a new rear wing has been installed, the wheelbase has been reduced, and many carbon parts have been installed.

Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers said: “The entire Aston Martin Valkyrie program has been an extraordinary adventure in engineering.”

The cars will be built in just 40 units, with a delivery schedule in late 2021.

The Valkyrie AMR Pro is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 1,000 hp at 11,000 rpm, which is less than the previous version with 1,100 hp. The engine was made by the British company Crosworth. With twice the thrust, the AMR Pro achieves lateral acceleration of more than 3G.

Tobias Moers also said: “As an expression of the passion and expertise that can be found within Aston Martin and its closest technical partners, Valkyrie AMR Pro is a project beyond compare, a true‘ no rules ’track-only version. The Valkyrie AMR Pro is a testament to Aston Martin’s commitment to pure performance and this DNA performance will be evident in our future product portfolio. Nothing else looks like it, nothing else sounds like it, and I am absolutely certain nothing else will drive like it! ”

More information will be released later this year, and all cars will be left-hand drive.
