2025 Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar

Aston Martin has announced that it will participate in the FIA WEC (World Endurance Championship) and the IMSA Championship in the most powerful Hypercar class from the 2025 season, with a prototype based on the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

“It is time to return to the fastest in endurance racing, the most important of which is the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as it has been many years since our last overall win at Le Mans back in 1959,” said CEO Aston Martin, Lawrence Stroll.

The car will be adapted to the rules of the Hypercar class (LMH – Le Mans Hypercar) and will have slightly less horsepower than the current endurance-focused Aston Martin Valkyrie. The Valkyrie is powered by a Cosworth 6.5L naturally-aspirated V12 engine assisted by an electric motor totaling 1,160 hp (865 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed Ricardo single-clutch automated manual transmission. It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 402 km/h (250 mph).

Lawrence Stroll also said he hopes owners of current road-legal Aston Martin Valkyries will drive their cars and not keep them in garages.

A collection of 13 super cars worth over $50 million

We don’t often see large collections of expensive cars, because they are hidden from the eyes of the beholder. However, one collection of 13 super sports cars worth over $50 million is parked at the Los Angeles airport.

Driving by the airport, vlogger “effspot” recorded a video showing 13 cars hidden under nylon. It is not known who owns the collection, nor why the cars were left outside. Is the current owner transporting them to a new location or are they on their way to a new owner?! Either way, we hope they will not stay out in the open for long.

The collection consists of some of the best super sports cars such as Porsche 918 Spyder, two McLarens (Sabre and Speedtail), Porsche 911, Pagani Huayra, Lamborghini Centenario, Ford GT, Ferrari LaFerrari, Bugatti Chiron, Aston Martin One-77 and several

models .

1986 Aston Martin Virage Coupe Prototype sold for £287,500 GBP

At the 1988 Birmingham Motor Show, Aston Martin presented the Aston Martin Virage as a replacement for its V8 models. It was produced between 1989–2000 and 2011–2012. year, and it is less known that two years earlier the British luxury automobile manufacturer produced a unique Aston Martin Virage Coupe Prototype (DB2034) based on the Aston Martin Lagonda. This one of a kind car was recently sold for £287,500.

The body of this model has been shortened to give it a two-door design similar to classic cars like the Ferrari 400. It is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine paired with a five-speed ZF manual transmission. It was Aston Martin’s attempt to produce a competitor to the Porsche 964 Turbo and BMW 850i of the 1990s.

At the beginning of 1990, the company gave the ‘green light’ and agreed to completely rebuild the car to full customer specification. The chassis was rebuilt, and the suspension was replaced with components intended for the Virage production model. Acceleration is improved while top speed is reduced to around 150 mph. In February 1993, a new Virage engine was installed.
