6XTM – Audi RS6 Avant with widebody kit

The Audi RS6 Avant is a station wagon with outstanding performance, but there are always those who think they can make any car better, depending on tastes. So the German tuner G&B Design decided to present the 6XTM, an upgraded station wagon with a more aggressive look.

The tuner has prepared a new body kit for the Audi RS6 Avant, which includes specially made parts that increase the size of the car by eight centimeters. New engine hood, new front grille, lip spoiler, sills, rear apron, rear spoiler, side extensions and more, are just some of the parts that make the look of the caravan more aggressive. Also, there is a new set of Jager rims measuring 21×12, and the tuner named its creation 6XTM.

G&B Design did not change the performance of the RS6 Avant. The car is still powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 591 hp (435 kW) at 6250 rpm and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. That’s quite enough for a family car, which reaches 62 mph in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 156 mph (251 km / h). Power is transmitted to all wheels via 8-speed automatic transmission.

Unsuccessful drifting

Drifting is not for everyone. This was realized by two drivers who tried with their Audi and Mercedes what few are capable of doing. Two super powerful cars with over 600 hp (441 kW) and direct contact are the result of their attempt.

Recently, a video appeared in which the Mercedes-AMG E63S, due to too much gas, slips violently through an empty parking lot and hits the Audi RS6 Avant. Both cars headed towards each other at the same time in an attempt to do what would prove impossible. At the moment when they were supposed to start drifting in sync, there was a direct contact between the front parts of the cars. It is difficult to say who is more to blame, but it can be stated that too much self-confidence in their abilities, without experience, resulted in severe damage to both cars.

This time it’s just damage, luckily with no major consequences for drivers.

The Mercedes-AMG E63S is powered by a 4.0L biturbo V8 engine with 603 hp (443 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with 9-speed automatic with manual shifting mode. It reaches 62 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph (300 km / h).

Audi RS6 Avant upgraded by ABT

After the recently introduced Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept, now comes the upgraded RS6 Avant. It is another project of the German tuner ABT that specializes in Audi cars.

The car is painted in an exclusive Tactical green color. It is equipped with an aerodynamic carbon body kit to make the car look even more attractive and muscular, with an adjustable suspension that allows the car to be 25 mm (front) or 30 mm (back) closer to the ground, the standard two-pipe exhaust system has been replaced by four 102 mm stainless steel pipes, and there’s a set of black rims.

The Audi RS6 Avant is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 700 hp (515 kW) and 649 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km / h). If this is not enough, ABT offers an increase in power to 740 hp (544 kW) and 679 lb-ft (920 Nm) of torque.

We should enjoy the V8 engine as much as possible, as Audi is seriously considering developing a fully electric RS6. The A6 Avant E-Tron should arrive by 2030 and Audi claims it will include high-performance versions as well.
