1966 Ferrari 330 GTC is up for auction

In 1963, Ferrari presented a series of V12 powered automobiles in several versions: 2+2 GT Coupé, two-seat Berlinetta, spyder, and race car. Three years later, at the Geneva Motor Show, the company presents a two-seater coupé with a Pininfarina-designed body, the Ferrari 330 GTC. It was produced until 1968, and 598 units left the production line. One of them, a 1966 Ferrari 330 GTC is up for auction.

The Ferrari 330 GTC is powered by a 4.0-liter Tipo 209 V12 engine with 300 hp (220 kW). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a torque tube and a rear-mounted five-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 60 mph in under seven seconds with a top speed of 150 mph (242 km/h). It is mounted on chrome Borrani wire wheels wrapped in 205VR14 Michelin XWX tires.

Four years ago, Forza Motors (Monterey) replaced the cylinder sleeves, pistons, connecting rods, main and rods, timing chains and valve springs. The triple Weber carburetors were rebuilt and the cooling, ignition and fuel system were refreshed, costing over $98,000. A year later, electronic ignition was added and the timing was adjusted, while the carburetors were synced.

This car is finished in red and is in good condition. It is equipped with split front and rear bumpers, front fender vents, a driver-side mirror, a rear-mounted antenna, red rear turn signal lenses, quad ANSA exhaust outlets, servo-assisted disc brakes with three-piston calipers at each corner.

Inside, the seats are trimmed in black leather that also covers the dashboard and door panels. In front of the driver is a wood-rimmed steering wheel behind which is a five-digit odometer showing 43,666 kilometers (~27k miles). Additional equipment includes a cream-color fluted headliner, wood dash trim, black shoulder belts, leather rear luggage straps, air conditioning, power windows and a set of red floor mats.

This Ferrari 330 GTC comes with invoices from current ownership, owner’s manuals, a tool kit, and a clean Arizona title in the name of the owner’s trust listing the car as a 1967 model.

The auction ends on April 28 and the current highest bid is $395,000 USD.

The collection of 230 cars was hidden for 40 years

A large collection of classic cars from a professional dealer of rare and special cars from the 1960s was recently discovered. It contains 230 cars that the owner has been collecting for four decades.

It all started in the 80s of the last century when Palmen bought a yellow Lancia B20. After that, the collection was expanded with Italian models from Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati and Ferrari, as well as German brands BMW, Mercedes and NSU. Of course, there are also British representatives: Jaguar, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce, as well as American Chevrolet, Cadillac and Ford. The French Facel Vega is also part of the collection. The collection also includes the brands Tatra, Monica, Moretti, Matra, Alvis, Imperia and Villard.

Cars were stored in one church and two warehouses. All are well preserved and are proof of Palmen’s refined taste and impressive knowledge of rare and special cars.

The owner rarely showed his collection so it became one of the best kept “secret collections” in Europe. He kept the cars in original condition, and maintained them himself and started them regularly. Unfortunately, due to the owner’s age and other circumstances, the collection will be sold.

The auction will take place in May and the cars are currently stored in a facility in Dordrecht.

1997 Ferrari F355 Spider is up for auction

In the 90s, Ferrari introduced its first car with an electronically powered automated manual soft-top, the Ferrari F355 Spider. It was produced until 1999, and 3,717 units left the production lines, of which 2,664 were produced with the 6-speed manual transmission. One of them, a 1997 Ferrari F355 Spider is up for auction.

The F355 Spider is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 engine with 375 hp (276 kW) and 268 lb-ft (363 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. It reaches 62 mph in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h). It is mounted on 18″ five-spoke magnesium wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

This copy is finished in black, has been properly maintained and is in good condition. It is equipped with pop-up headlights, fog lights, an integrated tailgate spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, a vented engine cover, air intakes on the doors and rocker panels and Ferrari-branded brake calipers with ventilated discs at each corner.

Inside, the sports seats are trimmed in beige Connolly leather that also covers the door panels, dashboard and center console. There’s also a leather-wrapped steering wheel behind which is a six-digit odometer showing 28,947 miles. Additional equipment includes a gated shifter, automatic climate control, an aftermarket Sony CD stereo, and drilled aluminum pedals.

The current owner completed the engine-out belt service in 2021, and the water pump and thermostat, drive belts, motor mounts, right-side radiator, spark plugs and wires, battery, clutch master cylinder, oxygen sensors and catalytic were also replaced. converters.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with a window sticker, service records, a convertible top boot, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
