Ferrari refused to use autonomous driving

Autonomous driving is not something new, in fact several companies, such as Tesla, offer cars with this option. All this would not be possible without the IT industry, which strives in every way to improve our lives. This is exactly what happened to Ferrari, which refused to use autonomous driving in its cars.

We know we live in a time of technology, but some things are simply incompatible. So a group of IT experts insisted on holding a meeting with Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna to convince him that autonomous driving is exactly what Ferrari needs. However, to their surprise, Vigna did not show interest in such a thing. In fact, he offered them a ride in their super car, after which they said, “OK Benedetto, our presentation is useless”. That was enough for IT experts to understand why Ferrari is one of the biggest brands in the world.

This does not mean that Ferrari will give up electrification of its models. No matter what we think about it, it is destiny. Ferrari will not give up internal combustion engines either. “I believe the internal combustion engine has a lot to give,” Vigna said.

Ferrari’s plans are to electrify 60 percent of its cars by 2026, and to become carbon-neutral by the end of the decade.

Ferrari limits annual sales of its cars

At Capital Markets Day Ferrari has announced its plans and goals when it comes to sales. According to published information, the company from Maranello will limit the annual deliveries of its models, while by 2026, 3/5 of all offers will have hybrid and purely electric powertrains, and the rest will be cars with internal combustion engines.

Earlier this year, Ferrari released photos of its first SUV, and Ferrari is calling it a “game-changer.” The Ferrari Purosangue should have its world premiere in September, and the first deliveries can be expected early next year. However, sales of the model, which will be powered by a V12 engine, will be limited to only 1/5 of the total annual Ferrari car delivery. Good job Ferrari!

When it comes to other supercars with a V12 engine, the 812 Competizione / 812 Competizione A will be limited to 10 percent of total sales. The Ferrari Icona, which will be produced in only 300 copies, will be limited to just five percent of total sales.

Whether this decision is caused by the current crisis that is shaking the world, and therefore the automotive industry, it is not known. Either way, it is certain that the price of the already limited number of expensive cars will be even higher.

2023 Ferrari Purosangue comes with a V12 engine

A few days ago, Ferrari announced on its twitter profile the arrival of a new model that will be powered by a V12 engine. According to some rumors, the new Ferrari with a V12 engine should debut this summer, and Ferrari is calling it a “game-changer.” It is assumed that it is the Purosangue, Ferrari’s first SUV model, after which nothing will be the same.

The car has been announced as “Heart Of A Thoroughbred,” and it’s a clear link to Purosangue. The video posted on twitter doesn’t reveal much. Only details of the V12 engine with the manufacturer’s name clearly imprinted can be seen.

The car was announced as a surprise, born without compromises. Rumor has it that Ferrari’s first SUV will be a plug-in hybrid powered by a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine with 654 hp (488 kW) and an electric motor with 164 hp (123 kW), for a total of 818 hp (610 kW) and 546 lb -ft 740 Nm) of torque. Some even mention a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Now it is almost certain that the top performance will have a V12. Good job Ferrari!
