Supercar Owner Circle is held in Croatia

You’ve probably heard of societies with a limited number of members. Well, the Supercar Owner Circle is one of those, with only 150 members. The average club member owns 60 cars with an average value of $ 1.2 M per car.

The most exclusive organization of car collectors, cruised with its unique cars on the roads of Croatia. Koenigsegg CCR, Pagani Imola or Bugatti Divo are just some of the supercars that car lovers could see in Croatia these days.

The host of the event was Mate Rimac, who won the acceleration race, which took place at the Aeronautical Technical Center, with his new model Nevera. On his Facebook profile, Rimac wrote:

“Everyone is delighted with the interest of the people of Zagreb in the event. You are a miracle! But please get off the track – otherwise cars will not be able to race. Insurance will instruct spectators to move before the start and after the finish . This is too dangerous and will not be a race until it doesn’t solve it. Thank you for your understanding and we wish everyone great fun.”

After Zagreb, the event will be held in Velika Gorica, Opatija and Mali Lošinj.

A turning point in the history of Rimac Automobili

Rimac Automobili announced a turning point in the history of this company on Facebook. The news will be announced today at 20:00 CEST.

It is not known exactly what it is about. We only know that he posted on Facebook: “What’s next? Here at Rimac, we never rest. Following the recent launch of the #Nevera, we are announcing the next major milestone in our company’s history. Join us in this celebration and watch the live stream on July 5th at 8pm CEST / 11am PDT. “

Rimac Automobili recently introduced the second generation of supercars, the Nevera.

“The Nevera is the most powerful production car ever produced, with 1,900 horsepower, under 2 seconds from 0 to 100, under 9 seconds per quarter mile, making it the fastest accelerating car ever on the road. It’s an indication of what we can think of in technology and work for other manufacturers such as Porsche or Hyundai who are our investors. Of course we want to build a strong business in the production of sports cars,” said Mate Rimac.

Nevera is fully manufactured in Croatia. It has a lithium-manganese-nickel battery with 6,960 cells and a capacity of 120kWh. Thanks to four individually powered wheels, the Nevera has 1,914 hp and 1,741 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds with a top speed of 258 mph (413 km / h). Rimac Automobili will produce only 150 units at a cost of € 2 million.

Rimac Nevera with 1,914 HP

At the beginning of June, the company Rimac presented its new model, Nevera. It is an electric hypercar that reaches a speed of 258 mph (412 km / h).

A few days later, a video from the highway near Dubrovnik appeared in the media, a driver driving a Nevera reaching a speed of 232 km / h on an open road. Since the road was not closed to traffic, the driver committed several traffic violations. Croatian police have launched an investigation into the case, and the driver reported himself to police.

As negative attention was paid to Rimac in this case, the company’s founder Ante Rimac posted on his Facebook profile, saying: “It is a pity that after the premiere of the car, this news gave a negative context. We wanted to gather a large number of international customers, associates and distributors in Croatia (and where better than in Dubrovnik). More than 80 of them come, despite COVID restrictions, from all over the world (USA, Japan, Great Britain, various EU countries …). There they will get a presentation of the car and the opportunity to They will try it in real road conditions. Of course, they will try out the full performance on another occasion on the track, as did the journalists last week. Our position is clear: we let all customers, guests and employees know that the ride takes place on a public road and that must comply with the law. The driver from the video called the police himself. The police came and conducted the interview and will be punished as anyone else would be punished in this situation. For other rides we will be better careful and supervised. I apologize for the inconvenience. And now we can be at least a little proud that people from all over the world come to Croatia to order the most powerful car in history – developed and manufactured in Croatia. “
