New Rimac Nevera and eight years of free charging in Europe

IONITY is the largest European network of charging stations, which has over 1,500 charging points on the old continent, and the goal is 7,000 charging points in the future. Rimac Automobili is one of the users of these charging stations, and the company recently announced that those who buy the new Rimac Nevera get free charging in Europe.

In 2021, Mate Rimac announced that the company will build a campus in Croatia with its own funds, which will be the headquarters of Bugatti Rimac. The project was completed on time, and the company recently announced that it is looking for 50 employees for the paint shop in the Rimac campus, who will join the existing team of 26 experts. Now the plan is to build a station with six chargers for visitors to use.

Rimac Nevera is the fastest electric production car, but also one of the most expensive cars in the world (USD $2 million). “When people think of Rimac, they think of the record-breaking performance delivered by Nevera, as well as the cutting-edge technologies at the heart of the company. Nevera was primarily developed as a hyper GT, more than a track-focused car, it’s actually a user-friendly car. Cooperation with IONITY allows us to raise this experience to a higher level,” said Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of Rimac Automobili.

The Rimac Nevera is powered by four electric motors with a total power of 1,914 hp (1,408 kW) and 1,741 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 219 mph (352 km/h). It is equipped with a lithium-manganese-nickel battery with 6,960 cells and a capacity of 120kWh.

Rimac Nevera and Lamborghini Huracan in a drag race

Rimac Nevera recently set the fastest time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (7:05:928), in the category of production electric cars. It is an extremely powerful and fast car that many want to defeat in a one-on-one race. A tuned Lamborghini Huracan tried that too in a drag race organized by the Carwow team.

Rimac Nevera is powered by four electric motors with a total power of 1,914 hp (1,408 kW) and 1,741 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque which is enough to push the car to 62 mph in just 1.81 seconds with the title of EV with the highest verified top speed of 256 (412 km/h). It is equipped with a lithium-manganese-nickel battery with 6,960 cells and a capacity of 120kWh.

2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante with 7k miles for sale

The Lamborghini Huracan is a project of British tuner company JM Imports, powered by an improved 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine with 1,800 hp (1,324 kW) and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) of torque. The car has a fully built engine, fully built gearbox, fuel system, drive shafts, clutches, differential, turbos, etc.

In the first 1/4 mile race, Nevera had a better start and finish, crossing the finish line first. In the second attempt, the Huracan had a better start, but the Nevera was still faster. And the third attempt was also unsuccessful for the Lamborghini Huracan. A good start, but the time of 8.7 seconds was insufficient. Rimac nevera covered the 1/4 mile in 8.5 seconds.

In the 1/2 mile race at 30 mph, the Lamborghini held on well for most of the race but still not enough to cross the finish line first. In the race at 50 mph, Nevera was much faster. In the brake test at 100mph, the Huracan finally did better.

Although we expected better results from the Lamborghini Huracan, the Rimac Nevera showed why it is one of the fastest cars in the world.

Nevera Time Attack is the king of the Nürburgring Nordschleife

The Rimac Nevera is one of the most powerful and fastest cars in the world. This Croatian car manufacturer recently presented a new version of this supercar, the Nevera Time Attack, a racing car built for new records.

The car was unveiled at The Quail Motorsports Gathering and only 12 units will be built. The new fastest time of the Nürburgring Nordschleife (7:05:928), in the category of production electric cars, showed what kind of car it was. The driver was Croatian racer Martin Kodrić, and the car was equipped with Michelin Cup2R tires.

Nevera Time Attack is powered by four electric motors with a total power of 1,914 hp (1,408 kW) and 1,741 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque which is enough to push the car to 62 mph in just 1.81 seconds with the title of EV with the highest verified top speed of 256 (412 km/h). This time the top speed was limited to 219 mph (352 km/h).

“We had challenging weather conditions during our practice sessions this week and have chosen what seems like one of the hottest days on the track this summer to set a lap time. However, a 7:05:298 lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife is commendable. The fact that the Nevera can achieve this kind of speed on the track, when it’s been developed to be a comfortable hyper GT for the road, is what makes it so special. It’s such a well-rounded piece of engineering and design; gentle and usable in the city, thrilling to drive on twisting B-roads, comfortable over long distances and devastatingly fast on a race track,” said Kodrić.

“In many ways the Nevera has reinvented the world of the hypercar, bringing new technologies, new abilities and new levels of performance. But the simplest way we can demonstrate its capabilities is to go out and break records. And that’s exactly what we’ve done in 2023 time and again. The Nevera Time Attack is a Limited Edition that celebrates the achievements of the past year, wearing a bespoke livery inspired by the car that set each of them. Built in a series of 12, each has already been spoken for by our customers eager to capture their very own part of performance car history. And it’s only August, too, so there’s plenty of time for more records to be broken…” said Mate Rimac.

This record is only one of over 20 that Nevera broke this year. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Nevera set a new record on the 1.86 kilometer track with a time of 49.32 seconds.
