Rimac Nevera was the fastest at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Rimac Nevera is one of the most powerful and fastest cars in the world, and at the current Goodwood Festival of Speed, it set a new record on the 1.86 kilometer track.

The Rimac Nevera is powered by four electric motors with a total power of 1,914 hp (1,408 kW) and 1,741 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds with a maximum electronically limited speed of 219 mph (352 km/h). It is equipped with a lithium-manganese-nickel battery with 6,960 cells and a capacity of 120kWh.

Rimac Nevera achieved a time of 49.32 seconds, and it was also the only electric car. In addition to Nevera, there were also Dodge Viper GTS-R, Ferrari 488 Challenge, Ford Puma WRC, Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, McLaren M26, McLaren Solus GT, Nissan GT-R R32 and Subaru GL Family Huckster, and the fastest among them was the McLaren Solus GT, which covered the same distance in 45.34 seconds.

At the end of last year, the Nevera also became the fastest production electric car in the world when it reached a speed of 412 km/h (256 mph). Then the company said: “An incredible speed of 412 km/h is not something you do every day. When we decided to confirm this speed, we made sure we had everything we needed, a location that would give us enough space to reach speed and stop safely, the right tires that are in this case the Michelin Cup 2R, an expert to check their condition, a special Nevera aero profile that reduces the downforce at the front of the car balancing it for stability and a man on a mission to join the 400+ club, our test and development driver Miro.”

Ferrari 458 and Rimac Nevera on the freeway chase

Drag races have always been a treat for car enthusiasts, but when three supercars hit the highway, a spectacle is guaranteed. Such was the case in the race between the Ferrari 458, Rimac Nevera and Acura NSX.

A few days ago, the video “Ferrari 458 Embarrassed by Rimac Nevera” was posted on YouTube, showing the Ferrari driver spotting the Nevera on the highway, and the chase began. The Acura NSX also joined the chase, but unfortunately for both cars, the chase did not end well. The incredible start that the Nevera has was too much for the other two super cars.

The creator of the video said: “We came across a Rimac Nevera that absolutely destroyed the 458 and the NSX that were trying to catch up with it. A beautiful car with impressive performance. We hope to see more of them on the roads,” said the creator of the video.
