CEOs of the three world’s fastest cars on a track test

What happens when you put the creators of the three world’s fastest cars behind the wheel of each other’s cars? Top Gear tried to answer this question when it invited Christian von Koenigsegg, Mate Rimac and John Hennessey to Sonoma Raceway.

On its official YouTube profile, Top Gear posted a video showing four cars with a total of 6,800 hp. Christian von Koenigsegg came with Jesko Attack, Mate Rimac with Nevera, while John Hennessey came with Venom F5 Revolution.

Christian von Koenigsegg took the opportunity to drive the Venom F5 and the Nevera, and after a test drive he was really impressed with the Rimac Nevera. This car particularly delighted him and it can be said that he was quickly hooked on it.

Hennessey tested the Jesko Attack and was pleased with what the car performed saying it was raw, yet refined. He praised the engine and said that the feel was quite scary with the traction control system reduced.

Rimac tested the Venom F5 Revolution and pushed it to the limit. He also drove the Jesko Attack and compared its twin-turbo V8 engine to a motorcycle engine. In the end, Rimac gave Christian von Koenigsegg a ride in the Nevera and gave him some information about the car, but also showed that the Nevera is capable of setting the tires on fire.

Venom F5 Revolution is the new beast on the road

All car enthusiasts know that the Venom F5 is one of the most powerful and fastest cars in the world. Now at the end of the week, Hennessey will unveil the limited edition of the ultra sports model, Venom F5 Revolution.

Compared to the standard F5, the Revolution is equipped with better-tuned adaptive suspension elements and aerodynamic body solutions with which the F5 Revolution will have significantly better cornering grip. Under the hood is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,817 hp (1,336 kW) and 1,193 lb-ft (1,617 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.

The F5 Revolution weighs only 1,360 kilograms, which is 25 kg less than the Venom F5. Hennessey says that the multi-adjustable rear spoiler, at a speed of 400 km/h, ensures 635 kilograms of pressure on the rear axle. Handling will also be helped by the larger diameter of the ultra-light rims with tires for use only on the track.

The car will be produced in only 24 examples of which, as the company from Texas claims, most of them have been sold. The price of each F5 Revolution is $2.7 million.
