Audi RS Q8 O.CT 800

Tuners are paying more attention to increasingly popular SUVs. Thus, the company OCT Tuning presented its project Audi RS Q8 O.CT 800. The car is based on the Audi RS Q8.

Stage 3 includes remapping of the ECU unit, new intake pipe, air filter and exhaust system from turbo. Audi’s most powerful SUV is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 802 hp (590 kW) and 760 lb-ft (1,030 Nm) of torque. The Lamborghini Urus is powered by the same engine, so this is an indicator of its enormous potential. Many modern engines require only a few new parts and a remapping of the ECU to release extra power, which is roughly all OCT has done with the RS Q8 to get more out of it.

Stage 1 offers a modified ECU unit and 700 hp (515 kW) with 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Stage 2 also brings a modified ECU unit, a new intake pipe and an air filter. Engine power has been increased to 735 hp (541 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque.

OCT Tuning optionally offers 23-inch forged wheels wrapped in 295/35 ZR23 XL tires, which are 20 percent lighter than stock wheels.

Despite the increase in power, the Audi RS Q8 O.CT 800 retained the design of the base Audi RS Q8.

Porsche 911 problems

The Porsche 911 is an icon of the automotive industry and is generally considered one of the best cars. However, is that really the case? On many forums we can read the complaints of owners who have problems with the Porsche 911, and one of them is that the rear lights fall off while driving.

One such case happened to Craig Swallow, who posted a photo in the Porsche 991 Enthusiasts group asking if anyone had a situation where the rear light fell off the Porsche 911. He wrote in his explanation that while driving on the highway, he received a warning that the rear light was not working. Fortunately, there were no cars behind him.

Many owners confirmed that they had a similar situation. Some lost both taillights, and some managed to save the lights that hung on the wires. Such cases have often occurred on Porsches 911 manufactured in 2011. Porsche corrected this design error in 2013 by adding a metal plate.

Also, on other forums, photos of similar situations were published, so this is not an isolated case. This is proof that even the best make mistakes, but also how complex a car is.

If you have one of the first Porsche 911s produced, pay attention to the rear lights.

Audi RS6 Avant upgraded by ABT

After the recently introduced Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept, now comes the upgraded RS6 Avant. It is another project of the German tuner ABT that specializes in Audi cars.

The car is painted in an exclusive Tactical green color. It is equipped with an aerodynamic carbon body kit to make the car look even more attractive and muscular, with an adjustable suspension that allows the car to be 25 mm (front) or 30 mm (back) closer to the ground, the standard two-pipe exhaust system has been replaced by four 102 mm stainless steel pipes, and there’s a set of black rims.

The Audi RS6 Avant is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 700 hp (515 kW) and 649 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km / h). If this is not enough, ABT offers an increase in power to 740 hp (544 kW) and 679 lb-ft (920 Nm) of torque.

We should enjoy the V8 engine as much as possible, as Audi is seriously considering developing a fully electric RS6. The A6 Avant E-Tron should arrive by 2030 and Audi claims it will include high-performance versions as well.
