1989 Ferrari F40 Competizione is for sale

The Ferrari F40 Competizione is one of the most important cars in the history of the Italian supercar manufacturer. Between 1987 and 1992, 1,315 cars were produced. It’s a collector’s car, so when one like this hits the market, you can be sure it won’t be cheap.

RM Sotheby’s has announced the sale of a 1989 Ferrari F40 Competizione that may be the most powerful F40 in the world. It is powered by a 2.9L twin-turbo V8 engine with 700 hp (515 kW) that can be upgraded to 986 hp (725 kW).

In 1989, it was bought by Kroymans BV (Netherlands). Three years later, the car underwent modifications so that it could participate in races. There were no engine modifications. In the same year it was sold to Dutch Racing Promotions of Blaricum. In 1995, it underwent additional modifications to continue to compete in races, and then the engine power was increased. It participated in races until 2009, and during that period it changed several owners. In 2019, it was fully serviced, and after that it was bought by the Zanasi Group from Maranello, which carries out special orders for the painting of Ferrari cars (Extra Campionario). The original red color was replaced by triple-layer Grigio Nardo.

It is equipped with electric blue fabric seats and painted Scuderia Ferrari shields in the style of sports racing cars of the 60s, a carbon spoiler, a new fuel tank, a new fire extinguisher, and many other equipment.

1988 Ferrari Testarossa is for sale

In 1984, at the Paris Motor Show, Ferrari presented the Model Testarossa as the successor to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer. By 1996, around 10,000 cars had been produced, making it one of the most mass-produced Ferrari cars of all time. However, during that period Ferrari produced 390 examples for the North American market and one such 1988 Ferrari Testarossa is for sale.

The car was produced in March 1988 and two months later it was shipped to the USA via Autohaus Inc. to Massachusetts. It was in his collection until 2010 when it was sold to another person. It remained in the ownership of another buyer until September 2014, when it changed several owners.

It is painted in the rare Marrone Metalizzato color, and has had four owners so far. It received the Ferrari Cassiche certificate seven years ago, as well as the Platinum Award at the 2015 Cavallino Classic XXIV Concours d’Elegance. The interior is upholstered in light brown leather, while the dashboard is black.

The Ferrari Testarossa has only 6,611 miles (10,639.4 km) on the odometer and is powered by a 4.9L flat-12 engine with 380 hp (283 kW) and 356 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in 6.1 seconds with a top speed of 181 mph (291 km/h).

The car will be offered on Saturday, 20 August 2022. It is expected to be sold for a price between $150,000 – $225,000 USD.

Aston Martin DB5 from “No Time to Die” is for sale

Aston Martin DB5 became famous thanks to James Bond, and the greatest credit goes to Sean Connery and Goldfinger in which the DB5 plays a major role among cars. British auction house Christie’s has announced the sale of this unique car used in the latest sequel called “No Time to Die.”

The car looks flawless. Eight replicas were made for the film, and only this one was offered for sale. The carbon fiber body is painted in the classic Silver Birch color. Inside, the car is equipped with sports seats and belts, as well as a specially installed protective cage for stuntmen. There is also a hydraulic handbrake so that drivers can perform attractive maneuvers more easily. In front of the driver there is a 3D printed dashboard and the original steering wheel.

The DB5 is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six petrol engine from the BMW M3 (E46), mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. To make it capable of incredible stunt performance, Aston Martin has equipped the car with a new braking system and new suspension.

The auction starts on September 15 and will last until October 5. It is estimated that the car will reach a price of between 1.5 million – 2 million pounds.
