1972 BMW 3.0 CSL

Racing cars from the Bavarian car manufacturer are highly desirable. Such a model, the BMW 3.0 CSL, will be sold at auction next weekend.

Produced in 1972, the car was imported to the United States from New Zealand. It is equipped with a larger front spoiler, side exhaust pipe ends and a rear spoiler.

The interior is black, with sports seats, a dashboard, a fire protection system and a protective cage. On the side are Perspex windows, an aluminum hood and trunk and a door, and it also has BBS rims with Hoosier Racing tires.

BMW originally produced the 3.0 CSL for European competitions, as one of 1,096 homologation examples. The auction model is painted in white with blue, black and red stripes, with the number 202 on both doors.

The BMW 3.0 CSL is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 200 hp (147 kW) and 204 lb-ft (276 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Reaches 60 mph (96 km / h) in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 136 mph (219 km / h).

2022 Mercedes-AMG One

After several delays due to technical problems, production of the 2022 Mercedes-AMG One, a hybrid road version of Formula 1, will begin next year.

It seems that AMG has finally managed to solve all the technical problems, as the arrival of the limited edition One has been announced for the middle of next year. Great news for all 275 owners who paid $ 3 million (€ 2.34 million) for their model a long time ago.

Mercedes-AMG premiered its powerful concept in 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. But no one even thought that the development, testing and problem solving, on the hybrid “beast” that comes with the Formula 1 engine, would take five years.

The Mercedes-AMG One is powered by a centrally located 1.6-liter V6 turbo engine, combined with four electric motors, delivering more than 1,000 hp (746 kW) at 11,000 rpm. That’s enough for this supercar to reach 124 mph (200 km / h) in less than six seconds with a top speed of 217 mph (350 km / h).

The engine is adapted to Mercedes’ hybrid racer W1 W06. Certainly, it was not easy for Mercedes to meet WLTP emission standards, but even with an engine like this, the Mercedes-AMG One will be among the fastest cars on the road.

2022 Ford Focus

Recently, Ford unveiled a refreshed Fiesta for the European market. Now, a similar treatment has been performed on the 2022 Ford Focus.

At the front of the redesigned Focus are new LED lights. Advanced automatic adaptive lights, which ensure an optimally illuminated road without disturbing the driver from the opposite direction, are available at an additional cost.

Focus ST is painted in a shade of green (Mean Green). It is equipped with redesigned seats and new aluminum wheels. Inside, the main novelty is Ford’s latest multimedia system SYNC4, which is controlled via a 13.2-inch display, and which now includes air conditioning controls.

The Focus ST will be offered in a more practical station wagon version powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with 280 hp (206 kW).

The petrol models are powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine (EcoBoost) with 125 hp (92 kW) and 155 hp (114 kW) assisted by a 48-volt mild hybrid system. Power is transmitted to the front axle via a 6-speed manual or automatic 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The standard petrol engine has 100 and 125 hp.

The 1.5-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine (EcoBlue) with 95 hp (70 kW) also remains on offer. The more powerful version has 120 hp (88 kW). The engine is paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission. A more powerful model can be obtained with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
