Porsche 911 Safari in final testing

As we announced earlier, Porsche is intensively testing the new 911 Safari model. After testing at the Nürburgring, the car passes the final winter test, but now with less camouflage.

Spy photos show that the car has a slightly higher suspension than the Carrera 4 GTS on which it is based. The new front bumper, revised air intakes and fixed rear wing are just some of the novelties that the 911 Safari has. At the rear there are round exhaust pipes and a one-piece light bar under the rear wing. What the interior will look like is not known.

Porsche 911 Safari in final testing

It is already known that the Porsche 911 Safari is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged boxer 6 engine with 473 hp (348 kW) and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK. It is mounted on 20-inch aluminum rims wrapped in Pirelli tires.

There are still many questions about the specifications of the Porsche 911 Safari. It is unknown at this time when it will be introduced or when mass production could begin, as well as how much it will cost.

2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Prototype at the Nürburgring

The 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is currently in the final stages of testing at the Nürburgring. CarSpyMedia posted a video on its YouTube channel showing the GT3 RS Prototype cruising the racetrack.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six engine with more than 540 hp (397 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470 Nm) of torque. As a reminder, the current model is powered by the same engine with 520 hp (388 kW) and 346 lb-ft (469 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Reaches 60 mph in 3.0 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph (311 km / h).

There is not much information about the new model. What can be noticed in the spy photos and videos are the cooling vents on the hood, the large rear wing, a pair of circular exhausts and matte black elements on the sides. Camouflage covers most of the car.

For more information, we will have to wait for the official presentation, which is expected to take place at the beginning of the year. The first units should reach their owners in the second half of the year.

Porsche 911 (964) with a Tesla motor

Every year, in the United States, an event is held where unusual cars are presented. At this year’s SEMA Show, the attention of visitors was drawn to the Porsche 911 (964) with a Tesla engine.

The electrified Porsche 911 is the work of the Electric GT company. The car is equipped with larger wheel arches, a new bonnet, a new front hood, rear spoiler, and Hoosier A1 tires mounted on a set of black wheels. This increased the weight of the vehicle, but they found a solution in the Electric GT by shifting 55 percent of the weight to the rear.

It is powered by a Tesla electric motor with 436 hp (321 kW) and 331 lb-ft (448 Nm) of torque. The engine is equipped with a 47 kWh battery that, when fully charged, provides a range of 160 miles (257 kilometers). The battery can be charged up to 85 percent via a 6.6 kW charger in just 45 minutes.

The price of this equipment kit is $ 55,000. This amount does not include the price of the Porsche 911 (964) model.
