Mercedes AMG GT R Roadster by Posaidon

The German tuner Posaidon, specialized in Mercedes cars, has improved another AMG model. It is a Mercedes AMG GT R Roadster with an impressive 880 hp and a top speed of 224 mph.

This outstanding Roadster with impressive performance comes with four equipment packages. The Stage 1 offers a twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine of 780 hp (574 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque, thanks to standard turbochargers and a modified ECU.

The Stage 2 package (RS 830) offers 830 hp (610 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. Stage 3 (830+) offers the highest performance, delivering 880 hp (647 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. This package comes with a better sports exhaust system, a modified ECU, forged pistons, 20-inch forged wheels and a better steering system, and many other improvements.

The most powerful package allows the GT R to reach 62 mph (100 km / h) in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 224 mph (360 km / h). The engine is paired with an upgraded seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

All packages offer better performance than the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series. As a reminder, the Black Series is powered by a twin turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with 730 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 201 mph (323 km / h).

1969 Ford Mustang with Mercedes AMG powertrain

Have you ever wondered, what would look like an American car with a Mercedes AMG engine? Check out the 1969 Ford Mustang, which has been brought back to life.

Anarchy Garage, a UK-based company, found a 1969 Mustang in very poor condition. The project cost £ 24,000 ($ 33,000), which includes the purchase of cars and AMG parts.

The classic exterior look has been retained, while the drivetrain and interior have undergone changes. A Mercedes dashboard, center console, steering wheel, transmission, as well as seats are installed.

Under the hood is a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 721 hp and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque. It is the same engine used by the 2021 Mercedes E63 AMG. The car is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, and a limited slip differential.

The revived Mustang uses a set of 19-inch tires, and for a safe stop there are six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes.

Refreshed Mercedes-AMG

In 2018, Mercedes proudly unveiled the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé. Now, three years later, it’s time to freshen up this sports sedan.

The new sports sedan comes in a variety of body colors and 21-inch wheels. Inside, there’s a better multifunction steering wheel upholstered in leather or Alcantara and two rows of leather seats with an optional third seat in the second row.

The new AMG features adaptive suspension combined with a V8 engine in Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus modes, putting driving comfort to a higher level. The specifications of the 4-liter V8 engine are currently unknown. Currently the most powerful version (63 and 63S) develops 639 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque which allows the vehicle to reach 62 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph (315 km / h).

The remaining models will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 367 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque (GT 43 model) with a top speed of 168 mph (270 km / h) that reaches 62 mph in 4.9 seconds. The GT 53 model has 435 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque and reaches 62 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph (285 km / h).
