Porsche 911 (964) with a Tesla motor

Every year, in the United States, an event is held where unusual cars are presented. At this year’s SEMA Show, the attention of visitors was drawn to the Porsche 911 (964) with a Tesla engine.

The electrified Porsche 911 is the work of the Electric GT company. The car is equipped with larger wheel arches, a new bonnet, a new front hood, rear spoiler, and Hoosier A1 tires mounted on a set of black wheels. This increased the weight of the vehicle, but they found a solution in the Electric GT by shifting 55 percent of the weight to the rear.

It is powered by a Tesla electric motor with 436 hp (321 kW) and 331 lb-ft (448 Nm) of torque. The engine is equipped with a 47 kWh battery that, when fully charged, provides a range of 160 miles (257 kilometers). The battery can be charged up to 85 percent via a 6.6 kW charger in just 45 minutes.

The price of this equipment kit is $ 55,000. This amount does not include the price of the Porsche 911 (964) model.

Porsche 911 Turbo S E-Hybrid

A few days ago, a video appeared on YouTube showing a Porsche 911 Turbo S E-Hybrid. For some it is expected, for others it is not. This is not the first 911 Hybrid since Porsche produced the 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car, but it is the first road-legal.

In the video, which lasts a little less than two minutes, and which was shot on the Nurburgring race track, the car has no camouflage, so it can be concluded that the biggest changes can be expected under the hood. According to CarSpyMedia, the car will not have an 800 volt-electrical-system, as is the case with the Porsche Taycan, but a 400 volt-electrical system. The tinted rear windows hide the batteries located behind the front seats.

Earlier, the CEO of Porsche said that the 911 Hybrid should be the leader of the new generation of models from the 911 family (992). For now, there is no information about the performance of this car, but it can be guessed that it will be more powerful than the Turbo S model.

The introduction of the 911 Turbo S E-Hybrid is expected in 2023, while the first models should arrive on the market in early 2024.
