Porsche Platinum Edition

In 2009, Porsche introduced the first model of the Panamera. Twelve years later, the Stuttgart-based company offers a new equipment kit for this luxury model, the Porsche Platinum Edition. The first units are expected early next year.

The Platinum Edition equipment kit offers more standard equipment such as tinted windows, adaptive LED Matrix lights, black exhaust tailpipes, air suspension with adaptive dampers, a new shade on the rear LED headlight housings and dark 21-inch alloy wheels. Customers will be able to choose between 13 standard and four special body colors.

Inside, the front 14-way heated and ventilated seats are upholstered in black leather with a Porsche crest imprinted on the headrests. Sixth generation wireless multimedia system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay apps, four air conditioning zones are just some of the equipment that will make the driving experience even better.

Under the hood, nothing has changed. All three Panamera models (Standard, Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 Hybrid) will be powered by standard engines. The Panamera 4 Platinum Edition, powered by a 2.9-liter biturbo V6 engine with 330 hp (243 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque, costs $ 107,350. Unique Porsche 911 GT3 made for Paolo Barilla

Once again, it turned out to be true that money can do anything. Porsche made a special model Porsche 911 GT3 for Paolo Barilla, who won Le Mans in 1985 as the driver of a racing Porsche 956B.

Paolo Barilla wanted the 911 GT3 to be done in the colors of the 1985 Porsche 956B. It took three years to realize the project, as Barilla waited for Porsche to build a new GT3 based on the 992 Series. The result was a unique Coupé in the colors of the winning 956B with the number “7” that had the original 1985 race car.

Among the details that make the 911 GT3 unique are the Barilla signature plates on the B-roof rack, the Le Mans track sketch sewn on the headrests, the sill plates, the new rear spoiler and the magnesium gear lever modeled on the lever from the Porsche 956B.

The price of the special model has not been announced, but it is clear that for the Deputy Chairman of the Barilla Group money was not an issue. According to Forbes, Barilla’s wealth is $ 1.39 billion, and the car was a gift for his 60th birthday.

Porsche three new limited edition models

According to some American media reports, Porsche has decided to expand its 992 generation with a limited edition of three new models.

The first of these should be called the Sport Classic. It will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six engine from the 911 Turbo S version. It will have 640 hp (471 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. That’s enough to push the car up to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph (330 km / h). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed PDK transmission. Unofficially, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic will be produced in 250 units.

The second version will be called the 911 ST and will be reminiscent of the Porsche model from the early 1970s. Like the original, the 992 ST will also have significantly expanded fenders. It will be powered by an additionally boosted 4-liter boxer engine from the current GT3.

The third model is the 911 RS with which Porsche will mark half a century since the introduction of the first RS. The reminder of the famous ancestor will be based on the 911 GTS model, which will make it much lighter and a bit more powerful.

The latest example of Porsche’s look back is the remarkably thoughtful 911R model created on the previous generation (991) with an atmospheric boxer engine from the 911 GT3 RS model and a manual transmission. The limited edition “R” quickly became the object of desire for which customers, who did not manage to secure their copy, paid much more than its official price.

There is no doubt that all limited edition models will be sold in record time.
