Porsche announces a new SUV model above the Cayenne

Porsche has announced the arrival of a new SUV model to be positioned above the Cayenne. According to Automotive News, Porsche informed dealers about this, and one of them revealed that the new model is a combination of crossover and sedan, with a design different from current Porsche SUV models.

Without enough information, because the vehicle is part of the Porsche Unseen program, where most remain just an idea. “We’re grateful for such creativity within our business, as we’re continuously exploring new opportunities and where we might compete in the future,” a Porsche spokesman said.

It is not known whether the three-row vehicle will use technologies from Audi’s Project Artemis, which has been announced for 2024. “We are very open in sharing ideas under an initiative — Porsche Unseen — the majority of which don’t make it beyond the ideas stage,” a Porsche spokesman said.

The vehicle is being developed under the code name “Landjet” and will be powered by a plug-in hybrid engine. For now, the electric version is not in the plans, but that does not mean that we may not see it in the future.

Porsche Carrera GT

People say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A video of the remarkable Turquoise Green Metallic Porsche Carrera GT has appeared on TheTFJJ YouTube channel.

The Porsche Carrera GT is powered by a 5.7-liter V10 engine with 603 hp (450 kW) and 435 lb-ft (590 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. It reaches 60 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of more than 205 mph (330 kph).

It is equipped with large engine cooling vents located in the middle of the rear axle, electronically operated rear wing and 19 and 20 inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with 380 mm SGL Carbon brake discs.

The car was driven on wet British country roads, and some parts of the interior can be seen in the video, such as a dashboard trimmed in soft leather. Due to the weather, the removable roof was in place.
The car is made of lightweight carbon materials, and the design is based on Le Mans race cars, so the ignition is on the left.

At the Nürburgring Nordschleife the Porsche Carrera GT set a lap time of 7 minutes and 28 seconds.

Porsche 911 Safari

For a long time now, Porsche has been intensively testing the new 911 Safari model, which is based on the Carrera S. It is a legal-road rally model with off-road capabilities.

Spy photos show that the suspension is slightly higher than the Carrera S. After testing in the snow, the car is currently being tested near the Nürburgring.

Under the hood will be a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged boxer 6 engine with 443 hp (326 kW) and 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) of torque. According to some information, the Safari will have all-wheel drive, and power will be transmitted via a 7-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK. It reaches 60 mph in just over 3 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph (306 km / h). It is equipped with 20-inch rims wrapped in 295/40 Pirelli tires.

There are still many questions about the specifications of the Porsche 911 Safari. Will it enter mass production and when? Will it be a limited edition? How much will it cost? So far, we only have rumors without official confirmation.
