Lamborghini Goes Extreme with New Fenomeno Hybrid Supercar

Lamborghini has dropped a tantalizing teaser of what promises to be its next show-stopping limited edition: a wild new model set to debut during Monterey Car Week on August 8. Though not yet officially confirmed by the brand, insiders suggest the car will be named Fenomeno, and production will be capped at a mere 29 units worldwide.

The new model, a “few-off” in the Lamborghini tradition, will reportedly be based on the Revuelto, the brand’s flagship plug-in hybrid V12 supercar. However, the teaser hints that this isn’t just a styling exercise. Lamborghini appears to be preparing an entirely new body design, one that embraces the brand’s more radical design language—likely pushing the already aggressive Revuelto even further into visual insanity.

While Lamborghini remains tight-lipped on the details, the teaser image suggests extreme aero elements and dramatic sculpting—hallmarks of past limited-run legends. Think Reventón, which borrowed its menacing angles from jet fighters, or the Centenario, which turned the Aventador platform into a rolling tribute to aerodynamic engineering.

Under the skin, the Fenomeno is expected to retain the Revuelto’s potent hybrid powertrain: a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 paired with two front axial-flux electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. In the Revuelto, this setup delivers a combined 1,001 horsepower—though it remains to be seen if the Fenomeno will receive any performance enhancements.

The name “Fenomeno” (Italian for “phenomenon”) seems fitting for a model intended to push the limits of what even Lamborghini considers extraordinary. The Few-Off series has long served as a laboratory for the company’s most daring ideas—both stylistically and technologically—and the Fenomeno looks set to continue that tradition.

With just 29 examples planned, the Fenomeno will likely be spoken for well before it makes its official debut. Expect a price tag deep into the seven figures and a place alongside icons like the Sesto Elemento, Veneno, and Sián in the brand’s ultra-exclusive pantheon.

More details will be revealed at Monterey Car Week, where Lamborghini is expected to pull the wraps off what could be its most audacious creation yet.

Stay tuned.

2024 Lamborghini Revuelto is for sale

It’s not often we see Lamborghini cars in “crazy” color combinations that would leave some speechless. One such Lamborghini Revuelto was recently delivered to a Dutch customer, and is now for sale.

The car is painted in Verde Agave Lucido, which changes shades depending on the angle you look at it from. This gives the Revuelto a special visual appearance, better showing off the body lines. This color is available in the Ad Personam program.

According to available information, the owner of the Revuelto really took care of the car, as evidenced by the car’s condition and only 1,130 kilometers on the odometer. It was first registered in June 2024 and is equipped with a set of glossy black rims, bright green brake calipers and carbon components that include sills, side mirrors, side intakes, engine cover and rear diffuser.

The Revuelto is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine combined with three electric motors for a total of 1,015 hp (746 kW). This hybrid system not only enhances performance but also improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions, making the Revuelto a more environmentally conscious choice in the world of supercars.

The car is currently located in the Netherlands and the price is €832,449 (€687,974 + VAT).

Lamborghini gives up on new SUVs

Lamborghini has only one SUV in its fleet, the Urus, and the latest information suggests that it will remain so in the future. However, some rumors say that this is just a trick and that the Italian brand could soon introduce one or two new SUV models, considering their growing demand.

Chief Marketing & Sales Officer Federico Foschini said that SUV models are not the focus of the company, but the super sports cars they are known for. He believes that any new SUV, smaller or larger, would not be in line with the brand’s philosophy: “We would rather leave the production of such SUVs to one of the other companies that are under the umbrella of Volkswagen.”

Lamborghini currently has several outstanding super cars in its offer, such as the Revuelto, which is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine in combination with three electric motors for a total of 1,015 horsepower. Also, the Italian brand announced the arrival of the Lanzador for 2029, as a GT with high ground clearance, inspired by the Sesto Elemento, Murcialago and Countach LPI 800-4. It will be equipped with the new Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVi) driving dynamics control system, and new technology that, thanks to sensors, adapts the car’s dynamics to the driver through a sophisticated algorithm. When it comes to the powertrain, the Lanzador will have two electric motors and AWD.
