2026 Fiat Grande Panda 4×4

In June 2024, Fiat announced the arrival of a new version of its small city car, the Grande Panda, and now company CEO Olivier François has also announced a 4×4 version, but also spoke about the technical problems the company is facing.

The arrival of the Grande Panda 4×4 is not in doubt, but it is still being considered whether it will be offered with a hybrid or electric drive or both options. “We are looking for solutions, but we got the point and we would like to do something soon,” said CEO François.

François also spoke about the possibility of a seven-seat version, which he said would not be on offer. When it comes to design, Fiat does not abandon the standard box-design characteristic of the first generation. Protective elements have been added in the lower part of the front and rear bumpers emphasizing the SUV style, while the headlights are made of opal cubes and refer to the style of windows on the facade of the Lingot factory, and the daytime running lights and indicators are integrated into the same light block.

Although Fiat has not decided on the powertrain of the new Grande Panda 4×4, some information says that the hybrid option could be a 1.2-L turbo gasoline engine combined with an electric motor with a total power of 128 hp (95 kW), while the all-electric Grande Panda would be powered by a single electric motor with 113 hp (84 kW), and will be equipped with a 44 kWh LFP battery that provides a range of 320 km. François also confirmed that the offer will include a version with a combustion engine paired with a manual gearbox.

Grande Panda will be 3.99 meters long and will be positioned in the compact B segment, unlike its smaller brother (Panda), which is an A segment model.

Full-size Porsche 934 sculpture sold for £201,000

Between 1976 and 1977, Porsche produced a racing version of the Porsche 911 Turbo, prepared to FIA Group 4 rules, the Porsche 934. Only 31 units rolled off the production line and a full-size sculpture of the car recently sold for over £200,000.

The sculpture, designed by Benedict Radcliffe, is made from 32mm mild steel tube and is fitted with a set of period-correct centre-lock BBS split-rim wheels fitted with Avon tyres to fully evoke the original car.

This fantastic collectible automotive artwork was unveiled at the 2022 Milan Design Week and then sent on a world tour, and has now been sold to an unknown collector in China for £201,000. The price is extremely high considering that a new Porsche 911 could be bought for the same amount.

Hyundai has big plans for 2025

South Korean automaker Hyundai has big plans for this year. According to the statement of the Chief Financial Officer of Hyundai Europe Haesung Park, the company intends to double the sales of electric cars in Europe in 2025.

“We will do everything we can to meet the emissions targets,” he said. “To do this, we want to double the sales of electric cars this year,” Park added.

Starting this year, the European Union intends to tighten CO2 regulations, which many manufacturers oppose because non-compliance with these measures can mean large fines that can go up to a billion euros or more. This will force them to increase sales of electric vehicles to avoid potential penalties, which will be very difficult due to cheap Chinese cars.

In 2024, Hyundai sold 68,279 EVs in Europe, which is 15% less than the year before. The best-selling models were the Hyundai Kona (36,526 units), Ioniq 5 (22,830 units) and Ioniq 6 (8,731 units).
