A transporter with expensive cars overturned on the highway

At a time when the price of cars is rising, the least that new car buyers expect is news of damage to their cars. This is exactly what happened in the UK these days when a transporter with expensive cars overturned on the road.

Last week, British police received a call that a transporter with several supercars had overturned on the A20 near Farningham (Kent), not far from the famous Brands Hatch circuit. The vehicles are thought to be used to provide driving experiences at the racing circuit. The transporter driver escaped with only a minor injury. The cause of this accident is still unknown.

The video of this accident was published on the Twitter profile “Kent999s”, and can be seen damaged cars such as a Lamborghini Aventador, a Jaguar F-Type, two Ferraris, a Mercedes-AMG GT, a Nissan GT-R, an Aston Martin and a BMW, while a Bentley Continental ended on the roof.

It is not known how much the cars were damaged and whether some of them escaped unscathed. However, it is not easy for car enthusiasts to see such examples of expensive cars damaged.

Lamborghini Lanzador

Lamborghini is grandly announcing the arrival of its first all-electric car as a GT crossover, the Lamborghini Lanzador. It is expected to hit the market in five years, when Lamborghini will join the other major manufacturers.

The Italian automaker describes this model as a GT with high ground clearance. At first, it could be assumed that it is an ordinary crossover, but the design shows that it is not something that a typical crossover offers. The Sesto Elemento, Murcialago and Countach LPI 800-4 models served as inspiration. The front part shows that it is undoubtedly a Lamborghini, while the side and three-quarters of the rear resemble an off-road vehicle. On the other hand, it cannot be confused with the current Lamborghini Urus. It is equipped with active suspension and active aerodynamics.

Inside, the cabin resembles a spacecraft, with a focus on sustainability. The materials used are mainly produced in Italy. The thread is made from recycled plastic, while the seat foam and some other parts are made from recycled 3D printed plastic. The carbon fiber used in the interior also contains recycled elements like recycled PET, and even the water used to dye the leather is taken from olive oil plants.

The car offers a lot of space, and the rear doors offer access to a large luggage compartment, which can be increased by folding down the rear seats.

When it comes to the powertrain, there are too many secrets. It is known that it will be powered by two electric motors and will have AWD. The rear axle is equipped with a single form of torque converter. There is also the new Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVi) driving dynamics control system, and thanks to new sensors, the new technology adapts the car’s dynamics to the driver through a sophisticated algorithm.

Maybe the year 2028 is far away, but if we consider that Lamborghini intends to switch all its models to a hybrid by the end of next year, then the distance of five years is not bad.

The new Volkswagen California will arrive in 2024

For all adventurers who want a better experience of freedom, Volkswagen has presented a new California camper concept that will hit the market next year. Although many details remain a secret, the new camper comes with several novelties that could be a positive surprise.

First of all, the new VW van will, for the first time, be powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Engine power and performance are not known, but it is expected to be no less than the standard Multivan T7 eHybrid, which is powered by a 1.4-liter engine combined with an electric motor, with a total power of 215 hp (158 kW). It should be noted that the van has a range of 48 kilometers.

When it comes to design, the van got another sliding door on the left side where the kitchen used to be. In fact, the kitchen elements (stove, sink, fridge and drawers) have been moved to the rear, and now passengers can access from both sides, which is much more practical.

The VW California is equipped with awnings on both sides, which gives more shaded space to rest on hot summer days. There is also a 230V plug for powering additional devices. Inside, the seats can be rotated 180 degrees while the rear bench is used as a bed. More space inside, at least to make it easier to stand, is provided by the aluminum pop-top roof. Additional equipment includes a multifunctional tablet that controls LED lighting, USB ports and infotainment. The tablet is placed on an adjustable support so that it can be viewed from multiple angles and used for work and entertainment.

It is not known when the van will go into production, and until then some changes can be expected or VW will stick with the current design. However, we are sure that it will find its way to current lovers of nature and free spirit, as well as those who want to become one.
