26 Alpine A110 cars for the French police

Two months ago, it was announced that an agreement had been signed between Alpine and the French Ministry of the Interior, according to which the car company would deliver 26 Alpine A110 cars to the French police.

The Alpine A110 will be used by gendarmerie forces that maintain security in cities of up to 20,000 inhabitants, and the photos show what the first two delivered cars look like in the role of police cars.

Police cars are equipped with 18-inch wheels, instead of the standard 17-inch ones, which indicates that there is a slightly more powerful engine under the hood. In that case, the car will be powered by a boosted Renault Mégane RS turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 hp (221 kW) and 251 lb-ft (340 Nm) of torque. This is significantly more power as the standard model has 252 hp (185 kW) and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph (275 kph). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Can the Porsche 911 GT2 RS beat the 911 Turbo S & GT3 in drag race?

Once again, the guys from Carwow opposed three super powerful and fast cars. This time it is Porsche models 911 (992) Turbo S, GT2 RS and the new 911 GT3.

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine with 700 hp (515 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It reaches 60 mph in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 211 mph (340 kph).

The Porsche 911 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with an impressive 510 hp (375 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470 Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph (318 kph). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via manual or automatic seven-speed transmission (PDK). It is equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, and 20-inch wheels on the front and 21-inch wheels on the rear with Michelin PS Cup 2 tires.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine with 650 hp (478 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic PDK transmission. It reaches 62 mph in an impressive 2.3 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph (330 kph).

All three models are super fast but also super expensive. The price of the 911 Turbo S is around $ 218,000 (£ 164,650), the 911 GT2 RS is around $ 397,000 (£ 300,000) and the 911 GT3 is around $ 169,000 (£ 128,000).

The Porsche 911 Turbo S showed its superiority at 1/4 mile with a time of 10.2 seconds, slightly slower was the GT2 RS with 10.4 seconds, while the GT3 was last with 11 seconds.

Manhart RQ 800

A few months ago, Manhart introduced the Manhart RQ 900 based on the Audi RS Q8. Now, Manhart engineers have gone further, as they have created the Manhart RQ 800 for a growing audience that prefers “super sports cars in the body of an SUV”.

Manhart has equipped the RQ 800 with a new intercooler, carbon intake, stainless steel exhaust system, four 100 mm ceramic-coated or carbon fiber exhaust pipes. There are also sports downpipes with 200-cell catalytic converters, as well as a remapped ECU.

The car is mounted on 24-inch gold-decorated rims wrapped in 295/30 ZR24 (front) and 355/25 ZR24 (rear) tires. Manhart air suspension allows the vehicle to lower by 30-40 mm.

The RQ 800 is powered by a standard 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 818 hp (602 kW) and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a recalibrated eight-speed automatic transmission. As a reminder, the Audi RS Q8 has 600 hp (441 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm). Reaches 62 mph in less than four seconds with a top speed of 190 mph (305 kph).
