The Beast is an extreme version of the Lamborghini Diablo

The Beast is an extreme creation of the Japanese company Value Progress, based on the Lamborghini Diablo. The car was presented at the Osaka Auto Messe and the company has not announced when The Beast will go on sale.

The car is painted in Italian red with Dark gray and purple details. It is 5,030 mm long, 2,400 mm wide, and 1,260 mm high, which means that it is 570 mm longer and 360 mm wider than the standard Diablo. Its appearance is enhanced by an elongated front end, a hood with ventilation openings and a pronounced splitter. The rear end brings an extended rear fender, a massive rear wing connected to the roof by a central fin. The use of a large number of wings and ventilation openings in the design is inspired by the Japanese bosozoku automotive culture.

In addition to vertically stacked headlights and high-positioned fog lights, The Beast has eight taillights and four high-mounted exhaust pipes. The car also gets a premium suspension and an upgraded braking system.

As for the powertrain, The Beast is powered by a 5.7-L V12 engine mated to a manual transmission. The same engine powers the Lamborghini Diablo, however, the company has not revealed the engine’s performance, but depending on the version, this engine develops between 485 and 603 hp.

Audi R8 is coming back as plug-in hybrid

In March 2024, Audi announced that it would officially end production of its popular sports car R8, after 18 years and two generations. However, some reports suggest that the R8 could return as a plug-in hybrid.

According to Autocar, a third-generation R8 is in development and will be based on the same platform as the Lamborghini Temerario, with which it will also share an aluminum chassis, electronics and powertrain. This resolves the dilemma that arose earlier, that the replacement for the R8 could be an all-electric car.

The Temerario is powered by a 4.0-L V8 twin-turbo engine with 800 hp (596 kW) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque combined with three electric motors, for a total output of over 900 hp (671 kW). The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

At the end of 2023, Audi introduced the R8 Coupe Japan Final Edition as the last edition of this sports car, officially marking the end of its production. It is powered by a 5.2-L naturally aspirated V10 engine with 612 hp (456 kW) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque. The same engine powers the R8 V10 GT RWD, but this version has a seven-speed S-tronic transmission that sends power to all wheels.

The arrival of the new Audi R8 is expected in 2027, and fans of this model are now wondering if the German brand will produce a racing version, as was the case with previous generations.

Tedson Etna based on Lamborghini Gallardo

Tedson Motors is a Croatian company that converts classic sports cars into restomods, and their latest project, called Etna, is based on the first generation Lamborghini Gallardo.

In the process of creating Etna, Tedson Motors created a completely new carbon body, installed a unique bumper and hood, new sills, door panels and side air intakes, and installed LED daytime running lights instead of the original headlights. At the back, there is a new engine cover, a new bumper, a diffuser, a large ducktail spoiler, LED lights, similar to those on the Revuelto model, and additional air vents. The exhaust system has been moved to the middle, while the suspension components are borrowed from the Gallardo Super Trofeo. Thanks to the new carbon components, the car is 200 kg lighter than the original Gallardo.

In terms of the powertrain, the original 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine has been modified by installing new internal components, and the result is 600 hp, which is 80 hp more than in the Gallardo. The engine is mated to an improved version of the original 6-speed e-Gear automated transmission.

Speaking of price, the upgrade costs €800,000 plus the donor car.
