Bugatti Tourbillon

In 2016, Bugatti presented one of the most powerful cars, the Chiron, which has reached its end. Now the time has come for Bugatti to enter a new era with a new model. Ladies and gentlemen, the Bugatti Tourbillon has arrived.

“This is the first completely new Bugatti in the last 20 years. The first that we at the new company Bugatti Rimac have completely developed, although we have already made models like the Mistral that were already based on the previous model with a double W16 engine. This is the first completely new , was developed in Croatia from start to finish,” said Mate Rimac.

At first glance, the Tourbillon has many similarities to the Chiron. However, it does not share any components with its predecessor. The horseshoe-shaped front grille is narrower, the C-line that divides the rear of the cabin is sharper, and the fenders are wider. It is equipped with subtle entry points at the headlights and C-line for air control, a carbon diffuser that extends under the rear half of the car allowing the rear wing to serve only as an air brake system. Also, the Tourbillon is 33 millimeters lower than the Chiron but also slightly lighter, despite having a 25 kWh battery that weighs 200 kg.

The interior, inspired by watches, leaves you breathless at first glance. Instruments such as a mechanical watch are mounted on the steering column, and the glass covering these instruments is made of polished sapphire crystal, an expensive material used by watchmakers for its scratch resistance. There is a small screen that can be folded, but also the softest leather that covers the entire cabin. All of this is customizable, and Bugatti is happy to match the Tourbillon for its customers to a specific watch or yacht they love.

“We’re trapped in the technology of our time. How do you make a car relevant to the year 2075 without looking ridiculous in a time that will have holographic displays or augmented reality contact lenses? Give the entire interior an analog way to interact,” said Frank Heyl, director of design at Bugatti Rimac.

When it comes to the powertrain, the Bugatti Tourbillon, unlike the Chiron, is powered by a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter cross-plane V-16 engine with 986 hp (735 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque combined with three electric motors (789 hp/ 588 kW) with a total power of 1,775 hp (1,324 kW). The new engine allows the hypercar to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in two seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in less than 5 seconds, while the speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) reaches in less than 10 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 446 km/h (277 mph).

Rimac said that the car has much higher performance than its predecessor. “I can say that 250 units will be produced, that delivery will start in 2026 and that we are already almost sold out. There are more customers than we will produce cars because we have only now shown the car to existing customers and there is already more interest among them than we will to produce cars,” said Rimac.

1964 Porsche 356C Coupe is for sale

Between 1964 and 1965, Porsche produced the third version of its first production car, the 356C. All versions of this model are in high demand, especially if they are in good condition. More than 16,000 examples of the 356C version left the production lines and one of them, the 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe is for sale.

This 356C is powered by a 1.6-liter 616/15 flat-four with a factory-rated 88 hp (66 kW) and 90 lb-ft (122 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission that was overhauled and fitted with replacement synchro rings by Ameen Garage of Milwaukee, two years ago. In 2021, the fuel tank, fuel hoses and fuel level sending units were replaced, the carburetor was reconstructed and replacement heating hoses were installed. Last year, the valves were adjusted and the valve cover and drive belt seals were replaced, while the Optima battery was installed at the beginning of this year. It sits on a set of 15″ steel wheels wrapped in 165/80 Nankang tires.

The car is finished in Light Ivory and is in good condition. It is equipped with a windshield washer system, an underside front tow ring, twin engine grilles, body-color bumpers with bright guards, and disc brakes at each corner. In 2020, the body was repainted, the dents were repaired and the rust on the right rocker panel was repaired.

The interior of the car requires certain repairs, such as replacement of seat covers and floor mats. The seats and rear bench are upholstered in black leather, which covers the door panels and the upper part of the dash. In front of the driver is a three-spoke steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 42,492 miles (total mileage unknown). Additional equipment includes a cabin heater, a vintage-look cassette radio, and latch-and-link lap belts.

This 356C coupe is now offered in Pine Plains, New York with the owner’s manual, service records, a copy of the Kardex, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The auction ends on June 22 and the highest bid at the time of writing was USD $44,356.

Maserati MC20 Cielo with better aerodynamics and more power

In 2022, the Bavarian tuner Novitec presented a series of carbon components for the Maserati MC20 coupe, and now it does the same for the MC20 Cielo, giving the car a thrilling and individual appearance.

A special equipment package includes naked-carbon aerodynamic components such as a splitter, intake, hood vents and a ducktail rear spoiler. All of this can be combined with various exhaust upgrades including the system in the photos, which uses ultra-lightweight Inconel and optional gold accents. There are also yellow sport springs on offer that can bring the floor closer to the ground by 25 mm, and are compatible with the car’s factory front lift system. Also, customers can choose aluminum spacers for 28 or 40 mm wider wheel tracks on both axles.

When it comes to the interior, Novitec fulfills individual customer requests with exclusive interior appointments tailored to the wishes of the vehicle owner in every detail.

Under the bonnet is a 3.0-L V6 Nettuno twin-turbo engine with 711 hp (530 kW) and 603 lb-ft (818 Nm) of torque, which is 80 hp (59 kW) and 65 lb-ft (88 Nm) more than the standard model. The increase in power was achieved thanks to the N-Tronic module and the high-performance exhaust system, so now the MC20 Cielo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds (0.2 seconds faster) with a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

Novitec also offers a set of 21-inch NF11 forged rims produced in cooperation with the American company Vossen.
