VW reduced the number of employees at the Zwickau plant

Volkswagen records good sales results when it comes to cars with internal combustion engines. However, when it comes to VW electric cars, the results are not so good. This caused a certain number of workers to be laid off at the Zwickau plant.

Chinese car manufacturers are increasingly conquering the European and other electric car markets, which has a great impact on the business results of big brands such as VW. How serious a problem it is for the German manufacturer, is shown by the recent news that the factory in Zwickau reduced the production of electric cars and also reduced the number of employees.

Zwickau plant was founded on 26 September 1990 and it produced cars with internal combustion engines, such as the legendary Trabant. Later, the factory was transformed into an electric car production plant, where models such as: Volkswagen ID.3, Cupra Born, Volkswagen ID.4, Audi Q4 e-tron, Volkswagen ID.5 and Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron were born. . It had 10,700 employees with an annual production capacity of 330,000 cars.

Meanwhile, falling demand for VW electric cars forced Volkswagen to temporarily lay off 269 employees for a period of 12 months.

Toyota GR Yaris with 740 HP

The Toyota GR Yaris is the most powerful B-segment car, and thanks to one of the best tuners in all of Oceania, Powertune Australia, it has become a road beast with 740 hp.

The standard Toyota GR Yaris is powered by a 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 261 hp (192 kW) and 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). However, thanks to the installation of an upgraded Garrett G25-550 turbocharger with a Turbosmart 45 mm wastegate valve and a Plazmaman 350-370 kw intercooler, the engine’s output is 740 hp (544 kW).

The GR Yaris is finished in dark gray with contrasting black digitally printed decals and gold alloy wheels. It is equipped with camshaft holders and Gelford Performance valve springs that make this 1280 kg car a killer of modern supercars.

For comparison, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody has 26 hp less and 1520 kg more than the Toyota GR Yaris. It is powered by a 6.2L V8 engine with 717 hp (527 kW) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed shiftable automatic transmission.

A collection of 13 super cars worth over $50 million

We don’t often see large collections of expensive cars, because they are hidden from the eyes of the beholder. However, one collection of 13 super sports cars worth over $50 million is parked at the Los Angeles airport.

Driving by the airport, vlogger “effspot” recorded a video showing 13 cars hidden under nylon. It is not known who owns the collection, nor why the cars were left outside. Is the current owner transporting them to a new location or are they on their way to a new owner?! Either way, we hope they will not stay out in the open for long.

The collection consists of some of the best super sports cars such as Porsche 918 Spyder, two McLarens (Sabre and Speedtail), Porsche 911, Pagani Huayra, Lamborghini Centenario, Ford GT, Ferrari LaFerrari, Bugatti Chiron, Aston Martin One-77 and several

models .
