Drag race: Tesla Cybertruck v F-150 Raptor R v Lamborghini Urus

Drag racing has been popular for a long time, but lately there are more and more powerful new production cars competing. One such “fight” was organized by the guys from the YouTube channel Carwow, putting the Tesla Cybertruck, Ford F-150 Raptor R and Lamborghini Urus on the line.

Although the Tesla Cybertruck looks weird at first glance, it is a really powerful car. It is offered in three versions of the powertrain, and the most powerful has three electric motors with a total power of 845 hp (630 kW) and 686 lb-ft (930 Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).

The Lamborghini Urus is a powerful sports SUV powered by a 4.0L biturbo V8 engine with 650 hp (478 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. With all-wheel drive it reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph).

The Ford F-150 Raptor R is a powerful pickup powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine with 700 hp (522 kW) and 640 lb-ft (868 Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in about 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 114 mph (183 km/h). Power is sent to all wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Cybertruck vs Urus

At the standard 1/4 mile, on the newly constructed road next to Tesla’s GigaFactory, the Lamborghini Urus stood no chance against the Cybertruck. In every race, the Tesla car was too fast for the Urus, even though the drivers switched cars. The Tesla Cybertruck covered the 1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds, while the Lamborghini took 12.3 seconds.

From 30 mph, over the same distance, the Tesla was again unbeatable. As well as from 40 mph, even when the Urus started one second before the Cybertruck. Braking was the advantage of the Urus. From 70 mph the Urus managed to stop in a shorter distance than the Cybertruck which needed a few more meters even though it was using mud tires.

Cyberturk vs Ford F-150 Raptor R

At the standard 1/4 mile, the Cybertruck showed its power and left the F-150 Raptor R far behind. The Raptor R was in line with the Tesla in the first ten meters, but after that it had no chance. The Tesla Cybertruck covered the 1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds while the F-150 Raptor R took 12.4 seconds. From 20 mph, the Tesla was far faster than the Raptor R. From 70 mph, the Tesla managed to stop in a shorter distance than the F-150 Raptor R, which needed 20 meters more.

Tesla Cybertruck has shown that it is a very good car, but also why over 2 million units have been ordered so far.

Opel Kadett GSi with 900 HP

Drag races are something we often see, where various modified super powerful cars compete against each other, and at the recent Race1000 held in Germany, a very interesting car appeared, the Opel Kadett GSi with 900 HP.

This model was produced between 1984 and 1991 when it was succeeded by the Opel Astra. It was stylish for its time and was offered in several petrol and diesel options, with the GSi at the top of the range.

Opel Kadett GSi is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder 16V Turbo engine with 900 hp, and the power is sent to the front wheels. It is equipped with a large intercooler that is located behind the front bumper, while the rest of the car does not have any additional aerodynamic components. At least we couldn’t see them.

The car was awarded the title of the fastest front-wheel drive car, reaching a speed of 298 km/h (). How powerful this car is can be seen in a clash with two very powerful sports cars, the Dodge Challenger and the McLaren 720S. None of them had any chance against this beast.

In the first race, the Dodge Challenger had no chance against the Opel Kadett. Challenger achieved a time of 20.524 seconds, which is more than 3 seconds slower than Kadett (17.371 seconds). In the second race, the McLaren 720 S had a bad start and lost with a time of 17.777 seconds, which is 0.6 seconds slower than the Opel (17.110 seconds).

Ferrari 812 and BMW M5 CS in a drag race, who has a better chance?

Ferrari 812 and BMW M5 CS in a drag race, who has a better chance? The guys from the carwow YouTube channel are trying to answer this question.

The Ferrari 812 is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine with 800 hp (588 kW) and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and it weighs 3,968 pounds (1,800 kg). It reaches 60 mph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 211 mph (340 km / h). It is mounted on 20 inch wheels wrapped in 275 / 35R20 (front) and 315 / 35R20 (rear) Pirelli tires.

The BMW M5 CS is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 635 hp (467 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. It weighs 4,023 pounds (1,825 kg), which is slightly more than the Ferrari 812. It reaches 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 192 mph (309 km / h). It is mounted on 20 inch wheels wrapped in 275 / 35R20 (front) and 285 / 35R20 (rear) Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

At 1/4 mile, both cars achieved the same time of 10.9 seconds, but it should be noted that the BMW M5 had a far better start. At a 1/2 mile, third gear, rolling race from 50 mph in Sport setting, the BMW M5 had no chance. The power of the Ferrari V12 engine and 800 hp was simply enough to leave BMW in the dust. In the braking test from 100 mph, although heavier than the Ferrari 812, the BMW M5 CS needed a shorter distance.

It was nice to see a showdown of two super cars. And yes, it should be noted that this Ferrari 812 is a limited 70th anniversary model that costs £ 450,000 (≈ $ 603,300) in the UK. The price of the BMW M5 CS is £ 141,000 (≈ $ 189,000).
